  • Health Information Disclaimer

Health information provided is used to help meet your child’s health and educational needs. While attempts are made to share health information with appropriate staff, it remains the responsibility of the parent to communicate with your child’s teacher regarding significant health related matters. In addition, Bus drivers are not employees of the school district; it remains the sole responsibility of the parent to communicate their child’s health concerns to the bus company. If an emergency should arise and the parent can’t be contacted, the school has permission to transport your child to the above mentioned hospital. The parent assumes all costs involved including possible ambulance fees.

  • Direct Admit Wisconsin

    OPT IN / OPT OUT
  • The Oostburg School District participates in a  state program called Direct Admit Wisconsin. Direct Admit Wisconsin is designed to provide a place for all Wisconsin high school students to access a world-class public education by proactively offering them admission to the Universities of Wisconsin.

Following a review of your student’s 11th grade transcript (grade point average, math coursework, progression towards graduation), you and your student will receive correspondence in July indicating which UWs are providing them direct admission, and the next steps needed in order to learn more about enrolling within the Universities of Wisconsin. Participating in this program does not commit your student to attend the Universities of Wisconsin. To facilitate the administration of this program, the following information will be shared by the school with the Universities of Wisconsin: Name, WISEid, Local Student District ID, contact information, legal sex, race/ethnicity, GPA and high school transcripts.

There are 10 UWs participating in Direct Admit Wisconsin for Fall 2025. They are UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Parkside, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout, UW-Superior and UW-Whitewater. For further information on Direct Admit Wisconsin please see the following FAQ: https://www.wisconsin.edu/direct-admissions/

  • Chromebook Coverage

  • To help families manage potential repair costs, an optional coverage plan is available for $15 per year. This plan covers accidental damage, such as drops, and manufacturing defects and provides peace of mind for families who prefer added protection for their child’s Chromebook.

While families are not required to choose this option, they are responsible for repair costs in the event of damage. These costs will be billed through Infinite Campus as part of the household’s regular fee account. This approach encourages students to take proper care of their devices while helping to keep the program sustainable.

    Common Repair Costs:

    Part Cost
    LCD Bezel $20
    Top/Bottom Case $15-$25
    Display $15-$60
    Keyboard $60
    Full Chromebook $200-$350

    Exclusions & Additional Fees:

The insurance plan does not cover theft, loss, intentional damage, or external peripherals (e.g., monitors, speakers, USB drives, USB mice, headphones, etc.) that are not part of the Chromebook itself. Additionally, the following fees will apply if the listed items are lost or damaged:

    • Asset Identification Tag or Student Name Label Removal: $10 replacement fee
    • Lost Charger: $20 replacement fee

    Protecting Your Chromebook:

    • We encourage students to take proper care of Chromebooks to avoid repair costs.
    • Accidental damage, such as drops, is the most common cause of Chromebook damage, so the insurance plan provides valuable coverage for such incidents.

    • Census Form
    • Each year the Oostburg School District is required by state statute to report to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction the number of children, by age and gender, who reside within the district boundaries. This census counts all children from ages new born through 20. This information is also important when sending out letters to parents regarding any pre-school or Kindergarten screenings.  Please add any children that have not been reported to us previously.
