I agree to meet the following expectations when participating in Woodlake Worship Events:
Surrender to the Lordship of Jesus and leadership of the Holy Spirit:
We are a Spirit-Filled church and don’t want God to bless our agenda; we want to follow HIS agenda. We challenge ourselves to learn to listen and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit in all things, and specifically in our worship leadership. Jesus should always remain the center of our lives.
Follow the on-stage dress-code:
No shorts, No skirts/dresses, No holes in jeans above the knee, No low-cut/revealing tops, No sleeveless/spaghetti straps, No visible undergarments, No visible stomach/back with or without arms raised, No leggings. We aren’t trying to draw attention to ourselves or make a statement about who we are. We’re trying to draw all glory and all attention to our Father in worship. Look like you’re here on purpose and ready.
Be kind, encouraging, and respectful:
Whether on or off stage, we build others up and respect and honor one another and the leadership roles on the team.
Connect with people:
We are not a team that hides backstage. We are connected with the church as a whole, and as an extension of church leadership, we will step out of our comfort zone to help greet the church family as they enter the auditorium before and after services.
Have a social media presence that honors God and represents biblical values:
Remember that what you post and who you follow matters.
Practice Practice Practice:
We don’t rely on our talent; we all work to continually improve. We show up to rehearsal having prepared and fully read the set text so that we honor one another’s time and honor God.
Communicate:
Please respond to Planning Center Requests and do so promptly. *Please be advised that if your request has not been confirmed at least one week before your scheduled service date, an alternative arrangement may be made.
I have read the above statements and subscribe to them whole-heartedly.
