  • Thank you for choosing CVAS to volunteer your time and attention to all our fuzzy residents!

    Our Volunteer Coordinator primarily uses email to contact all her volunteers - please make sure to check your spam a day or so after submission. It typically takes her around that time frame to process and complete it and reach out to you. If you do not hear anything or receive any emails, feel free to contact the shelter!

    • Anyone under 18 years old cannot walk/handle the dogs by themselves. But they can have a parent/guardian accompany them who will hold the leash/be present in the bonding rooms.
    • Anyone under 18 years old will need a parent/guardian to accompany them to volunteer. If an applicant is under 18 years old, they can be added to the parent/guardians volunteer form. Anyone 18 years and older will need to complete their own.

    If you cannot be consistent with your volunteering, or do not communicate with the volunteer coordinator, you will have your approved application removed and no longer be a volunteer with CVAS.

    All of our volunteers are on a schedule to come in.

    • We are looking for volunteers who are dedicated to the cause of making the lives of shelter animals better, and volunteers who are consistent in their schedule to help.
    • Ensure you are able to do this before submitting the volunteer application.
    • Please note, we are closed Sundays and Wednesdays to all volunteering (excluding Kennel Cleaning 7:00AM-11:00AM)

    We have removed Saturday as an option due to the number of volunteers for this day, and becuase it is one of our busiest days.
