Clone of 2025 Virginia Senior Open Entry Form

The Virginia Chess Federation (VCF) thanks you for your interest and participation in our tournaments! Registering and paying in advance mmm saves your time and that of our organizers. "Thank you!" All players in good standing with the USCF, from any state, are welcome to participate in our chess tournaments.

ELIGIBILITY:
- The Senior Adults Section is for all players age 50 and up as of August 1, 2026.
- The Adults Section is for all other players who are 21 through 49 as of August 1, 2026. Players 50 and up must play in the Senior Section.

Round 1 is at 7 PM on Friday evening.

TO REGISTER: Fill out the form below and submit payment using the secure PayPal payment website. You can either use your Credit Card or your PayPal account. Required information is indicated with a red asterisk (*). Registration is complete and your information is submitted to tournament organizers as soon as your PayPal payment is processed.

Registration is $75 online by Sunday May 17th. Increases to $95 on Monday May 18th through May 24th. Increases again to $105 on Monday May 25th and onsite. Onsite Registration will be open 3-6:15 PM Friday evening at the event hotel and then from 8-10 AM on Saturday morning (for anyone who wants to enter before Round 2).

One 1/2-point Bye is allowed in any round of the tournament, including Round 5. Half-point Byes must be decleared 30 min before the start of Round 2.

RE-ENTRY is available after Round 1 for $35, which re-enters you into the tournament for Round 2 with 1/2 point score for Round 1. Re-entering players may not take any additional 1/2-point byes.

We are providing chessboards, pieces, and clocks for all players, but you may use your own.

The Time Control for all 5 rounds is
Game-90 with 30 seconds of time increment.

All Players must be members of the U.S. Chess Federation to play. USCF membership can be purchased with cash or check on-site. Virginia Residents are required to have current VCF Memberships. These memberships can be purchased onsite.
