Welcome to Pets Lifeline’s 22nd Annual Summer Camp!

Embark on a furry adventure this summer as we invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience filled with cats, dogs and surprise guests. Campers will have the opportunity to learn about responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, and the importance of compassion towards our furry friends. Under the guidance of our experienced staff, participants will engage in a variety of fun and educational activities tailored to showcase the unique personalities of both cats and dogs. Creative activities will vary from day-to-day, including projects, hands-on learning activities and group games. Whether your child is a seasoned animal enthusiast or simply curious about the world of cats and dogs, Pets Lifeline Summer Camp offers a safe and nurturing environment for all to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in the lives of our furry companions. Join us this summer for a tail-wagging good time where every camper leaves with a pawprint on their heart!

CAMP DETAILS

LOCATION: The Pets Lifeline Animal Resource Center, 19686 Eighth St East, Sonoma. All camps are Monday through Thursday

4-7 year olds attend camps from 9:00 am–12:00 pm.

8-11 year olds attend camps from 9:00 am–2:00 pm.

EXTENDED DAY OPTION

Stay & Play Longer! Make the most of summer fun with our extended day options! From music and yoga to cooking and more, campers will enjoy exciting activities throughout the day.

Pets Lifeline 2026 Humane Education Waiver & Consent: I hereby waive, release, and discharge Pets Lifeline from all liability in case of accident or injury as a result of participation in Pets Lifeline’s Humane Education Program. It is understood that there are risks associated with some recreational activities and the handling of animals; and knowing these risks, I hereby assume those risks. I am additionally aware that while Pets Lifeline will take reasonable care to reduce the risk of transmission and/or transference of COVID-19 and any other infectious diseases or viruses, it cannot completely eliminate any/all of these potential health risks. I understand the themes and activities listed above are subject to change based on shelter availability, weather conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances. While we strive to offer a variety of fun and engaging experiences, the safety and well-being of our campers are our top priority. Photo Release I hereby grant Pets Lifeline permission to use any Humane Education Program photo or other digital reproduction in which my child’s image may appear, in any and all of its publications, including website entries, without payment or any other consideration. I further give permission to Pets Lifeline to share this image with publications including the Sonoma Valley Sun for use in its publications, including website entries, without payment or other consideration. I understand and agree that these materials will become the property of Pets Lifeline and will not be returned. I hereby irrevocably authorize Pets Lifeline to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute this photo for purposes of publicizing its programs or for any other lawful purpose. Week 3-- June 15 - 18: Paws & Claws: Learn to Train Your Furry Friends

Campers learn the basics of positive training by practicing simple cues, teamwork, and clear communication with cats and dogs. Through fun activities, they discover how patience, consistency, and kindness help build trust and strengthen the bond between pets and people.

Week 4-- June 22 - 25: Safety Savvy: Expecting the Unexpected with Cats & Dogs

Campers learn important safety skills for being around cats and dogs by identifying body language and signals, respecting boundaries, and understanding how animals communicate discomfort or stress. Through hands-on activities and role-playing scenarios, campers practice calm, confident responses so they know what to do in unexpected situations and can interact with pets safely and respectfully.

Week 5-- June 29 - July 2: LEGO Animal Adventures

Campers use creativity and teamwork to build exciting animal-themed LEGO worlds. Together, they design habitats, plan rescue missions, and imagine wild adventures, strengthening problem-solving skills and collaboration while bringing their animal stories to life brick by brick. Please note: A $50 materials fee is added for LEGO Week to cover the cost of LEGO sets that campers will take home with them at the end of the week.

Campers discover how to be powerful advocates for shelter pets by learning to share their stories with compassion and confidence. Through engaging activities, they become Junior Adoption Ambassadors—ready to inspire others and make a positive difference in the lives of cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes.

Week 7-- July 13 - 16: Furry Health Heroes: Pet Health Academy

Campers dive into the essentials of pet health, nutrition, and overall wellness, discovering how to care for cats and dogs to keep them happy, healthy, and thriving. They'll learn about proper diets, exercise, grooming, and recognizing signs of illness. Plus, special visits from veterinarians offer hands-on learning and expert insights, giving campers a unique chance to ask questions and see how professionals care for our furry friends.
