The goal of the Family Childcare Technology Pilot is to help current Family Childcare Providers be prepared when major changes to the childcare system take effect in summer 2027.
Providers selected for this pilot receive:
- Equipment and software: A laptop, printer/scanner, childcare management software, and QuickBooks.
- Help getting started: A computer expert visits your home to set everything up.
- Business training: 8 training courses (online) through the Women's Business Development Council to build your tech skills.
- Childcare-specific support: Training and help with applying for Early Start funding, getting national accreditation (required for Early Start), and using the OEC registry, and the soon to come Parent Portal.
