The following outlines the scholarship expectations of the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation (TVMF) Board of Trustees for the TVMA One Health Committee Scholarship.
QUALIFICATIONS
The TVMA One Health Committee Scholarship shall be used for offsetting educational conference travel and/or tuition expenses accrued by veterinary students at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and/or Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Scholarship recipients should demonstrate an understanding of the One Health approach and are encouraged to highlight experiences, interests, or career goals that reflect One Health values — such as sustainability, public health, ecosystem health, food safety, or community well-being. Recipients may be asked to share a brief reflection on how the scholarship supported their educational or professional growth in alignment with One Health principles.

DISTRIBUTION
The scholarship recipient will be announced at the TVMA Annual Conference and may be featured in TVMF publications and/or on social media.
The scholarship will be given via check to the University's Foundation and applied to the student’s school account.
OTHER EXPECTATIONS
- Minimum 2.5 veterinary school cumulative GPA
- Two letters of recommendation
- Letter from the Dean's office verifying academic eligibility
- Essay application

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
This annual scholarship has been established by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) One Health Committee. This group of One Health industry leaders hopes to foster the academic and extracurricular experiences of future members of the profession. This annual scholarship will be funded by members of the committee and awarded contingent on the availability of funds.
