2026 ICE SKATING RINK LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM

Things to know: BEFORE YOU PURCHASE YOUR TICKET:

YOU ENTER THE ICE SURFACE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Please be aware of ice conditions. Look at the ice and make sure you feel comfortable with the conditions of the ice.
Use of rented skates and helmets is at your own risk - if you think they are deficient, not fitting properly, or have any issue at all, you agree to consult a member of staff IMMEDIATELY. By proceeding onto the ice with these items you confirm that you have reviewed the items and they are fit-for-purpose and properly situated on your body or that of minors in your care.

If uncomfortable, do not enter the ice, ask for help.

Acknowledgment/Assumption of Risk
Participant and/or Participant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) acknowledge that ice skating and related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, bodily injuries and death. By signing this release, Participant and/or Participant parent(s) or guardian(s) assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, property damage, or death arising out of use of San Diego Ice Arena. Participant certifies that they are in good physical sufficient health to skate; participant is not under the influence of alcohol or any illegal drugs. Participant and/or Participants parent(s) or guardian(s) understand that this release extends to all claims of every kind and nature, known and unknown, and expressly waives the provisions of the California Civil Code 1542. Participant and/or Participants parent(s) or guardian(s) agree to follow the RULES/CODE OF SKATER CONDUCT posted at the skate trailer and surrounding areas and will follow the instructions from the operating staff. Failure to follow rules may result in being asked to exit the ice and termination of the use of the rink with no refund.

Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate in ice skating activities, Participant and/or Participants parent(s) or guardian(s) hereby release and hold harmless San Diego Ice Arena, from any and all liability for injury, death, damage, or loss suffered by Participant or Participants child(ren) while participating in activities at the rink, including without limitation, claims arising out of the ordinary negligence of San Diego Ice Arena, its owners, affiliates, employees, or agents in the operation, supervision, design, condition of ice or maintenance of its facility.

Medical Treatment Authorization
In the event of an injury, Participant and/or Participants parent(s) or guardian(s) authorize San Diego Ice Arena staff to administer first aid and/or seek medical treatment as deemed necessary. Participant and /or Participant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) understand that they are responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Photography Release
Participant and/or Participant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) grants permission for San Diego Ice Arena to use photographs or video footage taken during the time at San Diego Ice Arena for promotional or marketing purposes.

Minors
If signing for a minor, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant and have the authority to sign this waiver on their behalf. I will remain near the ice rink area to supervise and remain responsible for the participant’s safety and welfare.
By checking the box below and proceeding with the ticket purchase, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily accepted the terms of this Waiver and Release form.
