Khmer Maine values and respects the privacy of everyone who participates in our programs and services. For this reason, all participants of our programs are asked to complete a photo/ video release form prior to their involvement in a program/event. Our organization is committed to only share photos and videos of participants who have given us their explicit consent to use photos/ videos with their likeness.

While our photo/ video release does not cover photos and videos taken and shared by other participants, we ask community members to be mindful and respectful of others’ privacy by following these guidelines:

1. If you are going to take someone else’s photo or a video with them in it, ask for their permission.

2. If you might be sharing a photo or video that another participant is in, on social media, let them know, and ask for their consent.

3. Respect peoples’ answers. If it is not an enthusiastic “yes” or the response is a “no,” do not take a photo or video of that person.

4. Avoid taking photos and videos of the whole group.

5. Khmer Maine is committed to offering programming where all community members feel welcomed, safe, and respected. We ask our community’s participation to help uphold these values to ensure a positive experience for all.
