    The Entrepreneurial Schools Project Youth Council is your chance to step up, try new things, and actually make change happen, not just talk about it.

    By being part of the Youth Council, you’ll build skills to:

  • 1. Ask for your parents permission

    All Youth Council members will need their parents permission in order to join the community. 

    If you are selected, your parents/carers will need to provide permission, acknowledging the role, committments, and that photographs and videos will be taken as part of the two year journey.

    Make sure you chat with them before completing this form. 

  • 2. Sign up to Expectations

    Youth Council membership spans two years, giving you the opportunity to build your leadership skills, contribute to long-term goals, and stay involved from the early idea stage all the way through to completed projects. Members are expected to take an active role in the council’s work by:

    • Participating fully in meetings and workshops
    • Contributing to projects and new initiatives
    • Working collaboratively with peers, staff, and community partners
    • Representing the student body with respect, responsibility, and initiative
    • Throughout the two-year program, students may also be invited to join additional events, workshops, and special opportunities as the council develops its projects and strengthens its impact across the school community.
  • 3. Which role if best for you? 

    The Youth Council includes a range of roles that support communication, leadership, project development, community engagement, and coordination. You can choose a role that best matches your strengths and interests. Although you will have a chance to do a little bit of all of these as you will work as a team, its helps to know where your strengths and interest lie. 

    🛞Youth Council Captain

    • Leads the team, runs meetings, and encourages participation.
    • Represents the Youth Council at school events or leadership activities.
    • Helps set goals, maintain focus, and keep the group moving forward.

    📝Project & Planning Coordinator

    • Helps plan, organise, and deliver projects.
    • Tracks timelines, tasks, and progress toward goals.
    • Supports students to turn ideas into real outcomes.

    🤝Connections Coordinator

    • Point of contact for Young Change Agents Youth Council Lead 
    • Organises meeting times, reminders, and attendance.
    • Acts as the key communication link between students, staff, and other groups.
    • Shares updates, dates, and project information to keep everyone aligned.

    💡Innovations & Ideas Coordinator

    • Generates new ideas, solutions, and opportunities.
    • Works with students to understand issues and brainstorm improvements.
    • Leads design-thinking, surveys, or activities that gather student voice.

    🗣️Communications Coordinator

    • Creates posters, social posts, newsletters, and announcements.
    • Builds connections with school groups, families, and community partners.
    • Promotes events, gathers feedback, and supports participation across the school.

    📈Impact & Insights Analyst

    • Collects feedback and student voice through surveys or interviews.
    • Tracks project outcomes and identifies what’s working.
    • Shares insights to support future decisions and improvements.
