  • Dear Applicants,

    Thank you for your interest in the Kappa Alpha Psi Jacksonville Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Program. Kappa Alpha Psi is dedicated to supporting talented students by providing scholarships and increasing awareness of diverse professions and career pathways. Our longstanding commitment to youth development is demonstrated through our Guide Right Initiatives, both individually and collectively, which promote honorable achievement and inspire service in the public interest.

    Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is recognized as one of the nation’s leading organizations. Our vision is to be a premier national organization of high-achieving leaders who collaborate to advance the social, civic, and economic well-being of our communities. We strive to prepare future community leaders and foster excellence in academic achievement.

    Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

    • Scholastic achievement (e.g., GPA, SAT, ACT, CLT scores, IB/AP/honor classes, etc.)
    • Character and leadership (e.g., honors, awards, extracurricular activities)
    • Essay responses
    • Letters of recommendation
    • Personal interview

    To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

    • Be a high school senior at the time of application submission
    • Reside in Duval, Clay, Nassau, or St. Johns County
    • Provide a written acceptance letter to an accredited college or university no later than the interview date
    • Submit a completed application with all of the required attachments (listed below)
    • Each student is eligible to receive this scholarship only once

    The application deadline is February 27, 2026.

    • Essay 2 – If you were elected President of the United States, what would be the most urgent item on your agenda and why? - Please respond with 300 words or less
    • ACT, SAT, or PERT Scores - An unofficial copy is acceptable
    • High School Transcript - An unofficial copy is acceptable for the application
      • An official copy will be required if selected for an interview
    • Two Letters of Recommendation - One from a teacher or school administrator and one from a personal reference.
    • Résumé detailing employment and/or volunteer experience, including the nature of the work performed
    • A document detailing extracurricular activities, scholastic honors, and awards that you have received

    If awarded a scholarship, funds may be disbursed in two installments: One in the Fall semester and one in the Spring semester.

    I understand that I must submit my school schedules to the committee by the following dates:

    • August 31st (Fall semester)
    • December 31st (Spring semester)
    • Failure to submit the required schedule by the stated deadline will result in forfeiture of the scholarship for that term.

    Additionally, I understand that attendance at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony is required to maintain eligibility for the award.
