The successful candidate will report to the Management Committee and will be responsible for:
Leading the SPCA’s inspectorate function and ensuring that all animal welfare inspections, investigations, and enforcement work are carried out lawfully, professionally, and in line with the APA, SPCA Act, Rules and regulations. This role is both operational and supervisory, and includes regular on-the-ground inspectorate work such as responding to complaints, conducting inspections, handling emergencies, and preparing case documentation. The Inspectorate Manager will be supported by a Trainee Inspector (and later an Inspector), who will report directly to them, and will play an active role in training, guidance, and day-to-day coordination of inspectorate activities.
