  • The Granville County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the John Penn Citizen of the Year Award, which honors Granville County residents who have provided outstanding service to our community in 2025.


    To nominate an individual or individuals, please provide their name(s) in the space below. Nominees must reside in Granville County. Include a detailed account of their contributions, accomplishments, and the positive impact they have made on the community. While these contributions may be related to their employment, they should extend beyond their regular work or career responsibilities.


    Nominations should address the following:
    • The areas where the nominee has been actively involved (e.g., town, church, civic groups, schools, recreation, etc.).
    • Specific actions, activities, or involvement that support the nomination.
    • Evidence of the nominee’s positive impact on Granville County.

    Please limit your submission to 1,000 words, focusing on detailed contributions.


    Completed forms must be submitted to Jennifer Cufalo, Executive Director, at jennifer@granville-chamber.com by Thursday, February 12, 2026. Nominations will be reviewed by the Recognitions Committee, and the award will be presented at the 2026 Annual Membership Meeting and Banquet on Monday, March 9, 2026.
