• Run For Something’s March 2026 Future Candidates Cohort Application

Apply to join our 4-week, live virtual program for aspiring local leaders who want to lay the groundwork to run for local or state office someday
  • This application should take 5-10 minutes to complete. You do not need to have everything figured out — we’re interested in your experiences and perspective, not polished answers.

Run For Something's Future Candidates cohort is designed for young progressives who are thinking about running in 2027, 2028, or beyond and want to use the time before they run to become stronger leaders, deepen their community ties, and build a clear, realistic preparation plan.

Through weekly live sessions, guided reflection, and practical assignments, participants work through Run for Something’s Future Candidates curriculum with facilitation, accountability, and peer support.

The cohort runs from March 4 through March 25, and is entirely free of charge for all participants. Selected participants will meet once per week, with light but meaningful work between sessions. Participants leave with greater clarity, stronger connections, and a clear sense of how to use the time before they run to become the strongest leader and future candidate they can be.
