    2026 Scholarship Application Form

    Union Co. Farm Bureau will award at least THREE $1,000 scholarships. 

    Additionally, UCFB will award two named scholarships: Halford Dillow Memorial Scholarship ($1,000, high school seniors only) and Bill Flamm Memorial Scholarship ($500, high school and college students). All UCFB scholarships require (annually, one time completion) of this application. 

    All scholarship applicants must meet the following general criteria to be considered:

    1.    Must be a high school senior or currently enrolled in college to apply.

    2.    Must be a UCFB member, or dependent and must be a resident of Illinois.

    3.    Preference will be given to students accepted/enrolled in a program that offers agriculture courses and plan to major in an agriculture field of study at one of the following schools: an accredited vocational or technical school program, junior college, or 4-year university

    4.    Must exhibit potential for successful completion of course of study.

    5.    Applicants may receive a maximum of two UCFB scholarships during their college career.

    In addition to eligibility guidelines, the following is considered in selecting recipients: 

    • Involvement in School Activities, Community and proven Leadership
    • Strength of Personal Essay

    All scholarship funds are sent directly to the designated institution prior to the beginning of the academic year, around September 1.

    Scholarship applications are reviewed by a committee of UCFB Directors and members.

    All applications must be submitted electronically to be considered. No handwritten applications will be accepted. Deadline is 4:30 PM CST on Friday, April 3, 2026.
