Stewardship Experience: Ascend offers a variety of wilderness trips from basic backpacking/hiking to more arduous stewardship projects with teen interns, adult volunteers, etc. Although this job doesn't require prior trail stewardship experience it's helpful to know if you have any. This includes but is not limited to experience with cross cut saws, treadwork, brushing, etc. Relevant yard work or outdoor living experience is also relevant. *

Technology & Reporting Experience

This job uses email for initial correspondences and to share important information. Although in-person is always preferred with logistical planning as we near wilderness trips, we also use phone or zoom calls to connect.

Can you commit to checking your email often - Ascend admin use this as our primary form of connection. Explain any nuances.
If Trinity County is not your primary residence, are you available to be physically available during the summer for additional staff days such as gear prep, food shopping/packing, staff training, etc. If this is limited, please explain your circumstance.
