Completing this pre-screening form is the first step toward affordable homeownership with Habitat for Humanity Kerr County. This short questionnaire helps us determine whether your household may be eligible for the program.This is not the full application. Households that meet the initial requirements will be invited to complete a full homeownership application.

To complete the pre-screening form, you will need copies of the following documents:

• Current Driver’s License or Texas I.D. (for applicant and co-applicant)
• Social Security Cards for everyone in the household or Permanent Residence Card (if not a citizen)
• Last three paycheck stubs & 2025 W2 (for EVERY member in household earning income)
• If self-employed, a profit and loss statement for last two years
• Verification of any other source of income and government assistance that the household receives (For example:
child support, SSI/Social Security Income, food stamps, etc.)

Habitat for Humanity Kerr County screens all home ownership applicant families on both Texas and National Sex Offender Public Registries. We also screen applicants for criminal records. By completing this questionnaire, you are submitting to such inquiries.

If the form is not filled out completely, turned in late, or if you do not provide the supporting documents we will not proceed with the assessment process. You will be notified of either a denial or an invitation to apply letter within 30 business days of the day your form is received.

Deadline to apply: February 16, 2026.

If this pre-screening form is not approved, you may re-apply in the future if your living circumstances or job qualifications change. If you believe you have supplied incorrect information within your form submission, please contact the Habitat for Humanity Kerr County office immediately.
