    The Virginia Beach Republican Women’s Club (VBRWC), established in 1959, has long fostered political leadership and community engagement. Since 1972, the club has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors who exemplify leadership, scholarship, courage, integrity, and a commitment to the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

    For 2026, VBRWC will award two $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in the City of Virginia Beach.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be a resident of Virginia Beach
    • Must be a graduating high school senior (Class of 2026)
    • Application Deadline: April 5, 2026

    Selection & Recognition:

    • Scholarship winners will be notified on or before May 15, 2026.
    • Winners and their guests will be honored at the VBRWC Club Picnic on May 19, 2026, where they will receive certificates, be recognized, and have the opportunity to present their winning essays.

    Application Instructions:

    Please complete all required fields and submit an essay (maximum 500 words) responding to the following prompt:

    Discuss "What the Flag of the United States of America Means to Me." The judges will consider content, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Winners will be required to provide proof of enrollment, including a copy of the student’s tuition statement or other proof of enrollment from the institution. Documentation should also include school name, student name, current phone number and email address, student ID #, and a specific physical address to mail the scholarship payment check. Checks are made payable to the institution.
