First Friday Santa Cruz presents a special spring exhibition!
Heart & Mind is a month-long exhibition featuring creative visual expression that represents the conversation between the heart and mind, the push and pull, the contradictions, the angel and the devil, but also celebrates their similarities, agreements, and the spiritual, mental, emotional journey that the Heart & Mind are on together in our bodies!
We’re looking for professional works in a variety of mediums - 2D, 3D and performance arts that work within this theme. This call is for Santa Cruz County artists in all creative disciplines and scale. Applications will be considered from Monterey, Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Large scale work is encouraged. Interactive & Immersive installation work will be considered. Short form performing arts both live and recorded is also encouraged. Fresh concepts and mockups are welcome as submissions! We love new work inspired by the Heart & Mind!!
This gallery exhibition will be paired with an Immersive Installation exhibit presented by a group of artists featuring performing & visual arts that engage the viewer to question, make decisions and experience both the juxtaposition and collaboration of the Heart & Mind…
Submissions will be reviewed and selected by the exhibition curators.

- Opening Reception: April 4, 5-9pm
- Soft Opening: First Friday April 3, 5-9pm
- Open Gallery Hours: April 3-26 | Fri-Sun, 12-8pm (Fri, Sat), 12-5pm (Sun)
- Ripple Arts Festival Special Event: April 18
