    Shropshire Festivals are committed to supporting local businesses, particularly those in the early stages of trading. Our Bursary Scheme offers eligible new, small, local or family run businesses a free stand at Shrewsbury Food Festival, designed to help businesses test the market, reach new customers, and grow with confidence.
  • Health and Safety

    Health and Safety is the responsibility of everyone at Shrewsbury Food Festival.  The Event Organisers have organised all the necessary health and safety for the safe running of the event. If any participant sees anything that they deem unsafe they are to contact a member of the event team immediately.

    Shrewsbury Food Festival

    It is understood that in signing up for an Exhibitor Bursary space/stand at the Shrewsbury Food Festival, the exhibitor agrees to adhere to all festival terms and conditions outlined below.

    Full event details will be sent to successful applicants.


    Exhibitor Bursary Stand – Eligibility & Conditions


    The Exhibitor Bursary Stand is offered as a free pitch to support small, new or family-owned businesses who meet the following criteria:

    The business is newly established or in its early stages
    The business is small-scale and/or family-owned
    The business does not currently employ staff (excluding family members)
    The exhibitor demonstrates a desire to grow and take their business to the next step


    Shropshire Festivals Ltd reserves the right to determine eligibility for the bursary stand and to withdraw the offer if eligibility criteria are not met or if incorrect information is provided.

    The bursary includes:

    One free-standing pitch/space only


    Please note:

    Electrical supply, additional space, equipment hire or any extras are NOT included in the bursary and must be requested at the time of booking and paid for separately.
    Failure to declare additional requirements in advance may result in them being unavailable onsite.
    The bursary stand cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash or any other festival services.


    Application & Invoicing
    All payments for any additional services (including electricity or equipment hire) must be made by BACS.

    Full payment for additional services will be required by Friday 30th May 2026.
    Failure to meet this deadline may result in the additional services being removed or the space forfeited.


    Cancellation
    In the event of the exhibitor deciding to withdraw from the event, the following applies:

    As the bursary pitch itself is free, no refund is applicable for the pitch.
    Any paid-for extras (e.g. electricity, equipment) will follow the cancellation terms below:


    Cancellation charges for paid extras:

    Cancellation 90 days prior to the event: £100 administration fee
    Cancellation 60 days prior to the event: 50% refund
    Cancellation 30 days prior to the event: 25% refund
    Should the festival be cancelled due to a government decision, any fees paid will be carried over to the next Shrewsbury Food Festival or refunded.

    Should festival management cancel the event, fees paid will be refunded in full.

    Refunds will NOT be made, full or partial, should trading not meet expectations.


    Insurance
    All exhibitors must hold valid Public Liability Insurance with a minimum indemnity of £5 million, in force for the duration of the event.


    Risk Assessment
    An event-specific Risk Assessment must be submitted with your application.

    Fire Safety
    Exhibitors must comply with current fire safety regulations. Fire safety measures must be detailed in the submitted Risk Assessment.


    Food Safety
    All food operations must comply with current food safety legislation and regulations and be clearly detailed within the Risk Assessment.


    Stand / Space Details
    Any requirement for electricity, additional space, or equipment must be requested at the time of booking.
    Please note that there will be no electrical supply running to vehicles or refrigerated units after Sunday 28th June 2026.

    Description of Goods & Trading Details
    An accurate description of goods to be exhibited or sold must be included in the application.
    Only items listed and approved may be sold at the festival.

    All goods must comply with current trading standards and relevant legislation.

    External flyers or promotional material are not permitted at the event.


    Data Protection
    All information provided will be stored and used in accordance with current GDPR regulations.


    Indemnity
    I/We indemnify Shropshire Festivals Ltd against any claims made for loss, damage, injury, or otherwise arising from the acts, omissions, or negligence of my/our employees or any persons engaged by my/our business in the erection, dismantling, or operation of the trade stand.

    I/We confirm that a valid Public Liability Insurance policy is in place to cover such risks.
