Ranch Cutting Clinic Registration Form

Register for the Ranch Cutting Clinic at Rafter 7C Ranch
Join us for an introduction to the newest class available at the 2026 Tennessee Stock Horse Association ranch horse shows: RANCH CUTTING! This clinic is designed to offer an introduction to the elements required to compete in this class and allow the horse and rider to practice and develop their skills in a relaxed setting.

Clinic Format:

* Limited to 10 riders total

What to Expect:

AM = 8:00-11:30

* Flagwork on the Mechanical Cow to reinforce proper form

* Herdwork exercises to develop proper enty and postion in the herd

* Postion and job requirements of herd holders and turnback help

PM = 12:30-4:00

* Practice cutting an individual cow from a herd

* Practice working as a turnback rider or herd help

* Review of points and penalties for showing in the ranch cutting classes

Payment and Registration:

* $250 per rider plus $100 cattle fees (includes free lunch) = Total of $350

* Full payment due at registration

* No refunds unless your spot can be filled from the waitlist

Facility and Requirements:

* Both indoor and outdoor arenas available

* Stalls available ($25/day) / Haul-ins welcome

* Current negative coggins reuqired for all horses on property

Rafter 7C Ranch Liability Release, Waiver, and Assumption of Risk Agreement

In consideration of being permitted to participate in any activities, clinics, instruction, events, or use of facilities conducted by Rafter 7C Ranch, I, the undersigned participant (or parent/legal guardian if the participant is a minor), acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:

Inherent Risk of Equine Activities

I understand that equine activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to the behavior of horses, collisions with animals or objects, uneven footing, equipment failure, and the actions or inactions of other participants, which may result in serious injury or death to persons and damage to property.

Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks of loss, property damage, personal injury, or death that may be sustained by me (or my minor child) while participating in any activities at or associated with Rafter 7C Ranch, whether caused by the inherent risks of equine actives or otherwise.

Release and Waiver of Liability

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Rafter 7C Ranch, their owners, instructors, clinicians, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained while participating in these actives, including claims arising from the ordinary negligence of the Releasees, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including attorney fees, that they may incur due to my participation (or the participation of my minor child) in the activities.

Medical Treatment Authorization

I authorize the Releasees to obtain emergency medical treatment for me (or my minor child) in the event of injury or illness and understand that I am financially responsible for any such medical treatment.

Compliance with Rules

I agree to follow all posted rules, verbal instructions, and safety requirements of Rafter 7C Ranch. Failure to comply may result in removal from participation without refund.

Minor Participant

If the participant is under the age of 18, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor and that I consent to the minor’s participation and agree to all terms of this Release on their behalf.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read this Liability Release, Waiver, and Assumption of Risk Agreement, fully understand its terms, including the NONREFUNDABLE payment, and sign it freely and voluntarily. I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights by signing this agreement.
