Welcome to the 2026 1st Confession & 1st Communion Program!

To proceed, you will need to upload a copy of your child's baptismal certificate. If you do not have a copy, please contact the parish where your child was baptized to get a Sacrament Record.
Preparation Session are the following dates. Your child is expected to attend all sessions.

Welcome mass of your choice on the weekend of Febrary 21st & 22nd

Monday, February 23rd, 6:30 - 7:30 at St. Francis in Tilbury;
Thursday March 5th, 6:30 - 7:30 at St. Francis in Tilbury;

Sacrament of Reconcilliation before weeknight mass on the week of March 23rd

Thursday, April 9th, 6:30 - 7:30 at St. Francis in Tilbury;
Monday, April 20th, 6:30 to 7:30 at St. Francis in Tilbury.

Sacrament of first Holy Communion at the mass of your choice on the weekend of May 2nd & 3rd.

For the prepration sessions, please have at an adult attend the sessions with your child.

Formally registering at a Parish is a useful practice - like being formally registered with a primary care physician. It allows our office to better serve you and your family. You also remain free to attend Mass at other parishes and we won't "spam" you with communication. We encourage all families receiving sacraments within the parish to formally register. It is not however a condition of being able to receive the sacraments. If you would like to register at this time, please check our our I'm New section on our website or contact the parish directly.

The program includes:
1. A welcome Mass
2. Two preparations sessions for 1st reconciliation in person,
3. The celebration of 1st reconciliation/confession,
4. Two preparations sessions for 1st communion in person,
5. Concludes with the celebration of 1st communion.

You are invited to stay after confessions for the weekday mass (30 minutes)

Note about 1st Communion Celebrations:
- You may however select any Mass at any parish Church.
- There are no limits to # of guests however, we only have one pew set aside as reserved seating available per child.
- These are the only available dates.

Note: One parent/adult must accompany the child for the preparation sessions.
These are conducted in English.

Please take note of your mass choices. You will also recieve a autoreply email with your answers.
We ask a program fee of $30 to cover materials and supplies. HOWEVER, inability or difficulty with payment should never be a reason why a child is unable to participate. For this reason, you can request the fee to be waived. No questions asked.

A late fee of 15$ will be added to cover the extra shipping cost for all registrants who register after February 17th.

Participation in this program is not guaranteed. The Diocese of London reserves the right to decline a participant based on safety, behavioural concerns, or readiness for the program envirionment.
