Tech Challenge Test Trials Registration Form 2026
  • Test Trials 2026 Registration Form

This is an opportunity for teams to test their solutions on official rigs and get feedback from judges.
  • What should my team expect?

    • The Tech Challenge provides test rigs, judging staff, and extra safety gear in case teams forget to bring their own.
    • Sign-up for a 45-min session. After checking in, teams will have an opportunity to set-up in the "pit area" before being called for testing on official test rigs.
    • Teams will receive feedback when testing at the rig. Each rig interaction will last about 10 minutes. Students can repeat multiple times within the time slot.

    What should we bring?

    • Teams should bring their devices to test.
    • Teams are encouraged to bring their own ANSI-approved eye protection and head protection (e.g., bump hats, bicycle helmets, hardhats, or athletic helmets).
    • Teams can also bring materials to make adjustments to their devices in-between tests. Note: no power tools please. We cannot ensure a safe area for use.
    • Keep in mind: No AC power is available to teams at test trials.

How many test trials should we register for?

    • We encourage teams to attend multiple test trials, however, due to limited capacity, please register for no more than 2 dates
    • Drop-in testing will be available on each date from 4-4:45 pm. Check-in before 3:30 pm to test during this time slot.

If your team cannot attend a test trial you have registered for, we must receive notice of cancellation no less than 48 hours before the test trial. Failure to give adequate notice may result in the team being removed from future test trials.

NOTE: If you are registering multiple teams, please submit a new form of each of the teams you are registering to participate. If you are registering more than five teams, please reach out at challenge@thetech.org about the option to organize a group test trials.

  • Due to limited capacity, you may not sign-up for more than 2 dates at this time.

Note: Drop-in testing will be available on each date from 4-4:45 pm (with the exception of February 21, 2026). First come, first served.  You must check-in before 3:30pm to test.  Teams arriving after 3:30 will have to come another day. If no teams are present, drop-ins will close at 3:15 p.m. Email challenge@thetech.org if you have any questions.

  • If for any reason you are not able to agree to the above, please help us understand how we can better support you at challenge@thetech.org.

  • Should be Empty:
