The 2026 National Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) Symposium is a three-day convening of Tribal leaders, health professionals, students, educators, administrators, policymakers, and partners committed to strengthening community-driven health systems in Tribal and rural communities.
The symposium will feature plenary sessions, breakout tracks, and interactive learning opportunities focused on:
- CHAP education pathways and workforce development
- Clinical supervision and provider readiness
- Regulatory infrastructure and state–tribal collaboration
- Funding, billing, and sustainability strategies
- Student mentorship and leadership development
- Community-driven models of care
Conference Tracks
Beginner: Designed for participants new to CHAP who want a clear understanding of what CHAP is, why it matters, and how it fits within tribal health systems.
Advanced: For participants building an implementation plan and learning the essential elements to launch CHAP in their tribe/area: partners, education pathways, regulatory foundations, funding, and initial operations.
Intermediate: Participants who have implemented CHAP or are on the cusp of integrating CHAP providers into clinical settings and need the operational systems for seamless integration: supervision, HR, billing, workflows, data, and compliance.
