  • We Stand in Solidarity with Skagit Regional Health Workers

Dear Skagit Health Board of Commissioners,

We, the undersigned, stand with the 1,800 workers in the Skagit Regional Health (SRH) system who are fighting for a fair contract that will deliver the working conditions they need to provide the level of service our community deserves.
These workers make the region’s largest hospital system run.

They check our vitals, review our tests, clean our rooms, and nourish us as we recover from surgery. But without good, competitive wages and stable scheduling, we risk losing them and the exceptional care they provide.

    Our demands are clear:

Competitive wages: SRH regularly loses workers to other hospitals because current wages don’t cut it. If SRH can afford to pay its CEO $1 million per year, then it can afford to pay its workers the salary they need to live in the communities where they work.

Safe, stable scheduling: Hospital administrators can require more than 1,000 workers to report to any SRH location at any time, leading to problems with childcare and other needs that drive workers away. Stable teams lead to exceptional care, and our community deserves nothing less.

By signing below, we are collectively calling on SRH to meet its workers needs so they can meet the community’s needs.
