    * Participation in the recital is optional and requires separate fees aside from class registration. Please read all details thoroughly.
  • Recital Info:

    • Performance Date: Sunday, June 14th, 2026 at 3:00 PM
    • Location: Joan B. Kroc Theatre (6611 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92115) 

    Recital Dances:

    • Dancers will learn recital choreography during their regular class.
    • Dancers in the same level but on different days/ locations will be combined and taught the same dance for the recital.
    • Recital-registered dancers will be invited to attend additional optional rehearsals closer to the recital. 
    • Dancers will learn one dance in the current Winter Session and another in the Spring Session. They may choose to participate in one or both dances.
    • Dancers must register for Spring session dance classes, even if they are only participating in the winter session dance, in order to continue rehearsing their dance.
    • An additional costume is required for the spring session dance and can be preordered at a discounted rate.
    • Participating in both session dances allows dancers to perform twice in the recital.

    Mandatory Dress Rehearsal:

    • Saturday, May 16, 2026
    • Location: TBA
    • 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM
      • If you cannot make the dress rehearsal, you cannot perform. This policy protects your child and classmates from a negative performance experience.
      • Check your schedule before you register, make sure you can attend dress rehearsal as it will be mandatory (including dancers, chaperones and all volunteers assisting in the production).
      • If your child is sick or you have a family emergency, contact your instructor and we will decide what is best for your dancer, and the class as a whole.

    *Dancers & Chaperones are required to stay for the entire duration of both dress rehearsal and the recital. 


    Ticket Sales:

    Ticket sales begin Sunday, May 17th at 12 PM. The ticketing website and pre-sale discount code will be shared closer to the date.

    Ticket prices will range from $20-$40
    *All attendees will need a ticket for entry, except for infants being held in arms and volunteers/chaperones who will be staying backstage during the show.

    Early Bird $10 Discount payment due by Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 *Payments must be received in person by Jan. 31st to qualify for the discount price. Any payments received after this date will be charged the full price.

    All Recital Fees & Forms due by Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026

    • Recital Registration and costume fees received after Feb. 14, 2026 will be subject to a $15 late fee. 
    • Payments must be made in person with cash only. Please bring the exact amount, as change is limited and may not be available.

          Recital Guideline Agreements

          By signing this contract, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding my dancer's participation in the recital:
        • I,   *     , parent/guardian of   *    agree to the following:

          • *      I agree and understand that my dancer must register for Spring Session dance classes as soon as registration opens in order to participate in the recital, even if they are only participating in the winter session dance.


          • *   I agree and understand that if this is my dancer's first recital (only applicable to dancer's 6 years old and younger) or my child is not fully potty trained, it is mandatory for me to sign up as a green room chaperone.


          • *   I agree and understand that attendance at the dress rehearsal on May 16, 2026, from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm, is mandatory for everyone (dancers, chaperones, volunteers, etc.).   


          • *   I agree and understand that my dancer must arrive stage-ready to dress rehearsal and recital, this includes hair, makeup, and full costume(s) (appropriate tights, accessories, shoes, etc).   

                

          • *   I agree and understand that my dancer is required to wear matching costume-specified dance shoes, which must be acquired from CV Dance Xp  


          • *    I agree and understand that if my dancer is in more than one costume change, as well as dancers 11 years and older, they will be required to wear a skin tone leotard under their costumes at all times.


          • *   I agree and understand that my dancer must remain in the green room with volunteer parents for the entire duration of dress rehearsal. For the safety of all dancers, ONLY volunteers that signed up in advance will be permitted in the green room until rehearsal is over. No additional adults/ non-performers will be allowed.


          • *      I agree and understand that my dancer will be backstage with volunteer parents for the entire duration of the recital. For the safety of all dancers, ONLY volunteers that signed up in advance will be permitted backstage until the show is over (including intermission). No additional adults/non-performers will be allowed backstage. Kroc staff will lock the gate and will not allow unauthorized personnel backstage.


          • *      I agree and understand my dancer is expected to remain backstage with the parent volunteers until released by CV Dance Xp Staff at the END of final bow for both dress rehearsal and recital. I also agree and understand that any special arrangements to pick up my dancer early, will need to be arranged in advance. For safety reasons, no dancers will be released until the performance is completed without instructors approval.


          • *      I agree and understand that absolutely NO food or drinks (except water) are allowed with the dancers in the green room. This is a strict rule of the Kroc Center. Make sure your child eats a good meal before arriving.


          • *      I agree and understand that all recital fees are NON-REFUNDABLE in their entirety, even under circumstances beyond the control of CV Dance Xp or Joan B. Kroc Theatre. I accept that CV Dance Xp will make every effort to ensure the show happens, even if postponed.


          • *     I agree and understand that each attendee will require a ticket for entry into the recital venue (except for infants held in arms and volunteers staying backstage DURING the show only).


          • *    I agree and understand that I will keep my dancer home if they are feeling sick or ill, including but not limited to classes, dress rehearsals, and recital day.


          • *    I agree and understand that as role models for our dancers, I will maintain a positive and respectful relationship with CV Dance Xp Teachers, staff, volunteers and dancers.

          MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION/RELEASE OF LIABILITY/ PHOTO VIDEO RELEASE INFORMATION

        • I,   *   , parent or legal guardian of   *   minor, grant them permission to be part of the dance performance. I understand that CV Dance Xp does not carry workman’s compensation insurance for participants or volunteers. If my minor suffers an injury during the production, I have insurance and I am responsible for my minor’s medical or injury expenses. I give permission to the staff in-charge, to secure emergency medical treatment for my minor in the event of an unforeseen injury or accident. Furthermore, I also agree to hold CV Dance Xp, and/or its assignees, staff or volunteers harmless in the event of any production-related injury or accident.

          I understand that in this activity or related activities, registrants may be photographed and videotaped. By signing this release, I give permission for CV Dance Xp to use such photos for promotional purposes without compensation to the individual dancers or parents.

          I hereby certify that I have read this document and understand its content. I further certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above-named individuals.
