If you have any questions throughout the application process, please contact us via email at headasa@asainc.org. Please write your own responses. The use of AI tools to generate answers is not allowed. Your application can be saved, so you can come back and complete it later.
The following six parts must be submitted to constitute a complete application. No exceptions will be made, and all decisions are final. All applicants will receive written notification regarding the decision on their application.
1. Scholarship Application: All sections must be completed, and the application must be signed.
2. Essay: Prepare and submit an essay as instructed in the application.
3. Transcript: An official college transcript must be received by the committee directly from your school. (Student copies and photocopies are not acceptable.)
- Freshmen: Transcripts must be sent from both your current college and your former high school.
- Transfer, Graduate Students, & Ph.D. Candidates: Transcripts must be sent from both your current college and your former college.
- Medical and Law School Students: If a current transcript is not available, please provide a transcript from your former college and mid-term grades, if available.
4. Two Reference Forms: Complete the top portion of two (2) reference forms found on our website. Each form must be completed by a current or former teacher, professor, or employer, etc...(no relatives). Letters of recommendation may supplement but may not replace the required reference forms. Reference forms must be sent directly by the person providing the reference to the ASA by April 1, 2026. Completed forms may be emailed to headasa@asainc.org.
5. Tuition Costs: Include a copy of your school’s tuition and fee statement for the 2026–2027 academic year.
6. Profile Form: It is the applicant’s responsibility to obtain and submit a CSS Profile or FAFSA to the ASA office by April 1, 2026. Please ensure the ASA’s 4-digit CSS code (0193) is provided when submitting the CSS Profile. CSS Profile forms may be obtained at www.collegeboard.org.
Applicants submitting a FAFSA should provide a copy of their FAFSA Submission Summary showing their Student Aid Index (SAI). Applicants who are unable to submit a CSS Profile or FAFSA will be required to provide alternative documentation to verify financial eligibility, such as a copy of the most recent tax return.
