• Olmsted Plein Air Invitational Volunteer Information and Sign-Up

    The 12th Annual Olmsted Plein Air Invitational is a production of Olmsted Arts, Inc. - a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.
  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 12th Annual Olmsted Plein Air Invitational (April 18-26, 2026).  Please complete all contact information and make selections based on your interest and availability.  Prior to the event we will offer several volunteer orientations (via Zoom) which will provide an opportunity to give most currrent information, roles/responsibilities and Q&A.  

    Our Exhibition Gallery is located at 1380 Atlantic Drive, Suite 14125, Atlanta 30363.  This is in the Atlantic Station development (17th Street in Midtown Atlanta) and just behind Hotel 12. Please always plan for traffic and travel times.  More specific directions and parking instructions will be provided in our volunteer orientations.

    Reporting Hours Worked - We ask all volunteers to report hours worked.  It is important to us that we track your impact on the event.  It is also important that we include your generous donation of time and talent in our narrative to potential financial donors/supporters.

    When reviewing the available volunteer slots below you may notice some gaps.  This means the available slots for a certain time or day are filled.  Only available slots will appear.

  • Gallery Docent/Sales/Greeter - Choose as few or as many as you can work. Docents work in the exhibition gallery, located at
  • Bar Tender - the most popular person in the room who gets to know everyone. Pour beer/wine/soft drinks. Know how to open a beer, uncork a wine bottle, smile. offer a glass and napkin? This may be the job for you.
  • Evening Events - Gallery Docent/Sales
  • PaintQuick is an outdoor painting frenzy. Artist Check-in begins 7:30 a.m., artists begin painting at 8:00 a.m. Sales/Crowd Control 9:30 a.m. The PaintQuick will be held in Winn Park in the Ansley Park neighborhood in Midtown Atlanta (blocks from Colony Square, Woodruff Arts Center, Peachtree Street)
  • Photographic Documentation - (for those armed with cell phones or digital cameras) We utilize event photos in many ways but sometimes things get so busy, we forget to take photos. We need people who can focus on photos. A shot list will be provided and beyond that, you can get creative.
