  • Are you an artist who is ready to use your voice? Get ready for three days and two nights of adventure, creativity and fun at the 4-H Arts & Leadership Camp in Alamo, NV.

    In this camp, you will explore leadership through creative expression. Join us and choose an artistic focus area; painting, creative writing or mixed media. Create original projects inspired by the leadership you admire or wish to see in the world. Attend hands-on artmaking workshops, collaborate, and reflect while building skills to develop your community and your voice, while adding to your artist portfolio.

     

    Dates: Monday June 22 - Wednesday June 24

    Grades: 9-12 for the 2026-2027 School Year

    Registration Closes: 05/29/2026 or upon filling of all available spots.

    Registration Fee: $65.87 (includes meals, lodging, transportation, and supplies) - Fees are reduced due to financial support from the Nevada Arts Council in the form of an Arts Learning Project Grant.

  • Privacy Release:

    I give permission, without restriction, to the University of Nevada, Reno Extension/Nevada 4-H to quote, state/use full name, or state/use hometown for my child for educational and promotional use, as directed by the university (without payment or remuneration) for any appearances, use, or displays.   • University of Nevada, Reno Extension 4-H Youth Development Parent/Guardian and Youth Code of Conduct

  • In order to ensure that University of Nevada, RenoExtension (referred to as Extension from this point on)4-H Youth Development programs provide positive environments for all individuals to learn and grow, all participants, including but not limited to youth, volunteers, parents, spectators, and Extension personnel agree to abide by these expectations of behavior, while participating in any 4-H Youth Development activities:

    • Represent University of Nevada, Reno Extension4-H Youth Development with professionalism, dignity and pride, and be responsible for conducting themselves with courtesy and appropriate behavior. All participants, volunteers, and parents will conduct themselves in a respectful manner, exhibit good sportsmanship, and be a positive role model.
    • Display respect and courtesy for Extension staff, volunteers, program participants, visitors, clients and property.
    • Respect and follow all county and state 4-H Youth Development Policies and Procedures.
    • Inform UNRExtension personnel of any incidents that may violate 4-H policies.
    • Promote and support 4-H Youth Development in developing effective local, county, state and national programs.
    • Provide a safe environment by not harming youth or adults in any way, whether through discrimination, sexual harassment, physical force, verbal or mental abuse, neglect, or otherharmful actions.Any actions, such as conviction for child abuse or neglect, violent crimes, unethical behavior, substance abuse, verbal abuse, physical abuse, mismanagement of 4-H funds, or other serious offenses will not be tolerated.
    • The distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of illegal drugs, controlled substances, alcohol, and tobacco (including vaping) by youth or adults at any 4-H Youth Development activity is strictly prohibited. If needed, law enforcement may be contacted.
    • Use of vulgar or inappropriate language is not allowed at 4-H Youth Development activities.
    • Solicitation of gratuities, gifts or bequests for personal or professional benefit is not allowed.
    • Treat animals humanely and all participants must abide by National Show Ring Code of Ethics and provide appropriate and ethical animal care.
    • Operate machinery, vehicles, and other equipment in a safe and responsible manner when working with youth and adults participating in 4-H Youth Development programs.
    • Ensure that 4-H participants are not required to purchase materials, equipment, animals or services from any specific places of business.
    • Comply with all applicable laws of the city, county, and state of residence and/or location of 4-H activity.
    • Respect the privacy of persons served by the organization and hold in confidence sensitive, private and personal information.
    • Handle all concerns regarding 4-H program management within the University of Nevada, Reno Extension system structure. All issues should be handled at the local level whenever possible.
    • Keep personal opinions and actions separate from those made as a representative of this organization.4-H Youth Development promotes teaching youth “how to think” not “what to think.”
    • Discrimination is not allowed on the basis of a person's age (40 or older), disability, whether actual or perceived by others (including
      service-connected disabilities), gender (including pregnancy-related conditions), military status or military obligations, sexual orientation,
      gender identity or expression, genetic information, national origin, race (including hair texture and protected hairstyles such as natural
      hairstyles, afros, bantu knots, curls, braids, locks and twists), color, or religion (protected classes). in accordance with University policy.

    Violating this Code of Conduct shall be grounds for action up to or including immediate removal from the 4-H Youth Development activity/program. Decisions regarding immediate removal or expulsion will be made by the county Extension4-H Youth Development Personnel inconjunction with the Extension Educator and notification to the State 4-H Youth Development Director.

  • University of Nevada, Reno Extension Participation Form Parent/Guardian’s Assumption of Risk on Behalf of Minor (less than 18 years of age)

    4-H Overnight Residential Camp
  • In consideration of the acceptance of my application for participation in the 4-H Overnight Residential Camp, and specifically, I hereby freely agree to and make the following contractual representations and agreements on my behalf and on behalf of my Minor (hereafter referred to as “Minor”). I fully realize the dangers of participating in said program and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with such participation on my behalf and on behalf of my Minor. I understand these risks include, by way of example and not limitation the following: collision with other program participants (including members, guests, adult volunteer leaders, staff, etc.), vehicles and fixed or moving objects, the dangers and use of equipment, equipment failure, inadequate safety equipment, weather conditions, property damage or loss, and the possibility of serious physical injury, illness, sunburn, pain, mental trauma, or death.


    I understand that participation in the 4-H Overnight Residential Camp is an inherently dangerous activity and that no one can guarantee my Minor’s safety while participating in or observing this activity. I understand all of the risks and dangers which arise from this activity and knowing those risks and dangers, it is my wish to allow my Minor to participate in and/or to observe this activity.


    For myself, my Minor, and our heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, assignees and successor in interest (collectively referred to as "successors"), I release, forever discharge and agree not to sue the Nevada System of Higher Education (hereafter referred to as “NSHE”), its employees, agents, members, sponsors, volunteers, officials, spectators, or owners of property on which this activity may be conducted from any and all liability, claims, loss, cost or expense, including, but not limited to, those arising from property damage or loss, injury to my Minor’s body, mental trauma, or death, and waive on behalf of myself and my Minor any such claims against any such persons or organizations, arising directly or indirectly from, or attributable in any legal way to, any negligence or other action or omission to act of any such persons or organizations in connection with the sponsorship, or organization or conduct of the above event/activity including travel to and from such event or activity in which my Minor may participate as a participant, spectator or volunteer. I hereby waive for myself and on behalf of my Minor, all such claims which I have or my Minor has now, or may hereafter have against the above organizations or persons, however, caused.

     

    I agree on my behalf and on behalf of my Minor that it is my Minor’s sole responsibility to be familiar with the grounds, buildings, and other facilities, rules, other applicable rules or special regulations for the above event. I understand and agree that situations and conditions may arise prior to, during, or following the event which may be beyond the control of NSHE, its employees, agents, members, sponsors, volunteers, and officials, and I must participate so as to neither endanger my Minor or others.


    I agree for myself, my Minor, and our successors that the above representations and agreements are contractually binding and shall bind me, my Minor, and our successors for the above event. I agree that if I, my Minor, or our successors assert any claim or bring any suit in violation of this agreement, I, my Minor, or any of our successors shall be liable for the expenses (including legal fees) incurred by the other party or parties in defending against such claim or suit.

    4-H Shooting Sports Project (General Shooting Sports, .22 Rifle, Air Rifle, Archery, .22 Pistol, Air Pistol, Shotgun, Hunting, Muzzleloader/Black Powder)
  • In consideration of the acceptance of my application for participation in the 4-H Shooting Sports project, and specifically, I hereby freely agree to and make the following contractual representations and agreements on my behalf and on behalf of my Minor (hereafter referred to as “Minor”). I fully realize the dangers of participating in said event and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with such participation on my behalf and on behalf of my Minor. I understand these risks include, by way of example and not limitation the following the dangers of collision with pedestrians, vehicles, and fixed or moving objects; the dangers arising from firearms such as accidental discharge of air pistol/rifle, shotgun, .22 rifle/pistol, archery equipment, black powder rifle/pistol, use of equipment and training related to shooting sports and a NV 4-H Shooting Sports Trailer; the dangers arising from surface hazards, equipment failure, inadequate safety equipment, weather conditions, property damage or loss and the possibility of serious physical injury, illness, pain, mental trauma, or death.

    I understand that participation in the 4-H Shooting Sports project is an inherently dangerous activity, and that no one can guarantee my Minor’s safety while participating in or observing this activity. I understand all of the risks and dangers which arise from this activity and knowing those risks and dangers, it is my wish to allow my Minor to participate in and/or to observe this activity.

  • UNR Extension 4-H Youth Development | Transportation/Overnight Travel Permission Form

  • Acceptable behavior for this activity includes the following, but is not limited to this list:


    • Shall follow all applicable laws regarding riding in a motor vehicle (especially seatbelt laws).
    • Shall respect all people traveling with (youth and adult) and shall respect the vehicle(s) riding in.
    • Shall never jump from seat to seat and shall never be disruptive to the driver.
    • Shall follow all directions provided by the driver.
    • Shall dress appropriately by not wearing offensive clothing or revealing clothing.
    • Follow directions/guidance of Extension/4-H Staff and support the Extension/4-H supervising this event.
    • If a 4-H Member, I realize and remember my agreed to 4-H Commitment to Excellence/Code of Conduct (or its equivalent document), indicating for me to always represent 4-H in a responsible, positive, and healthy manner.
    • I also understand that riding in a motor vehicle may result in personal injury or death from wrecks, collisions, or other acts caused by drivers, other drivers, riders, animals, objects, etc.


    Participation in Events such as this activity is a privilege and this privilege can be revoked at any time for failure to comply with the above-stated conditions or for other actions and speech displaying improper conduct or creating unsafe situations for Participants and/or other Attendees. The sanctions imposed may include expulsion from the Event (at the parent’s expense) and/or expulsion from County/State 4-H Program(s).

  • 4-H Camp Alamo Waiver of Liability

    Nevada 4-H Camp Alamo
  • In consideration for receiving permission to use the Alamo 4-H Camp and Learning Center (the “Camp”), for myself and/or as the parent/guardian of the student identified below, I hereby agree to the following:
    1. Safety and Supervision
    The Camp is operated by the University of Nevada, Reno, Extension, and made possible thanks to a collaborative agreement between the University, Clark County, and Lincoln County. The Camp features lodging quarters, an outdoor deck, indoor and outdoor meeting rooms, dining facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, outdoor recreation areas, and a pond. Primarily used as a 4H camp, the Camp provides opportunities for youth to experience the adventure, learning, fun and friendships that 4H camps are known to provide.
    While the Camp has limited on-site staff available to assist users, I acknowledge that primary responsibility for the safety, security, and supervision of student and other users, at all times while users travel to/from or use the Camp, rests with the sponsoring group and/or school. I agree that all users must use Camp facilities and equipment in a safe manner, utilizing safety gear appropriate for each task in which they are engaged. Further, I agree that users must, and will, comply with all Camp policies, guidelines, signage, and instructions.
    2. Assumption of the Risk
    I recognize and agree that use of the Camp and its facilities and equipment is entirely optional and voluntary. I further understand and agree that such use involves various inherent hazards, dangers, and risks, including without limitation, and only by way of example, the risk of trips, slips and falls; cuts, broken bones, burns, and other wounds to hands, head, feet, eyes and other body parts; serious personal injury and illness, paralysis, permanent disability, and even possibly death; drowning; strained muscles; overexertion; dehydration; impalement; exposure to sun, wind, weather, dust, smoke, fumes, and noise; and accidents due to negligence of other users or Camp personnel or vendors, or due to defective or inadequate facilities or equipment, or due to inadequate maintenance or repair, training, instructions, supervision, first aid and medical treatment, or safety gear. ON BEHALF OF MYSELF MY STUDENT, OR BOTH, I ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL RISKS OF LOSS, DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, that I, my student, or both may sustain, or any loss or damage of property brought to the Camp, as a result of being engaged in such activity, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF CAMP PERSONNEL OR OTHERWISE.
    3. Release of Liability
    With full awareness and appreciation of the risks involved, I, for myself and student, if any, and on behalf of our respective family, spouse, estate, heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby forever release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Clark County, Lincoln County, the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education, the University of Nevada, Reno, and each of their respective board members, officers, agents, servants, independent contractors, affiliates, employees, successors, and assigns (collectively the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, directly or indirectly arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or my student or any of the property belonging to me or my student, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties, any third-party using the Camp, or otherwise, while participating in any activity while in, on, or around the Camp and/or while using any Camp facilities or equipment.
    4. Indemnification
    I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all costs, expenses, damages, claims, lawsuits, judgments, losses, and/or liabilities (including attorney fees) arising either directly or indirectly from or related to any and all claims made by or against any of the Released Parties due to bodily injury, death, property damage, loss of use, monetary loss, or any other injury from or related to my or my student’s use of the Camp and its facilities or equipment, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
    5. Acknowledgment
    By signing below I acknowledge and represent that I have read the foregoing Waiver of Liability, understand it and sign it voluntarily as my own free act and deed, including without limitation the Release of Liability and Indemnification requirements contained above; I am sufficiently informed about the risks involved in using the Camp to decide whether to sign this document; no oral representations, statements, or inducements, apart from the foregoing written agreement, have been made; I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent; I am the parent or legal guardian of the student identified below, if any; and I execute this document for full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same. I agree that this Wavier of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Nevada law, and that if any of the provisions hereof are found to be unenforceable, the remainder shall be enforced as fully as possible and the unenforceable provision(s) shall be deemed modified to the limited extent required to permit enforcement of the Wavier of Liability as a whole.
