VolunTEEN Application Summer 2026

***All Volunteers MUST be vaccinated for the Flu and verification submitted to the Red Cross Office***

The American Red Cross is excited to host, in-person, our 2026 VolunTEEN Summer Program. This year's program will run June 29 through August 7, 2026 at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center & Marine Corps Base Quantico Naval Health Clinic. The VolunTEEN Program offers high school students ages 14 to 17 the opportunity to engage in and learn about medicine and the American Red Cross.

Applications accepted Monday, February 2, through Friday, March 27. All Applications with a letter of recommendation must be received via email, by 4 pm on Friday, March 27. Acceptance emails will be sent on Monday, April 13, 2026.

If accepted, all VolunTEENS must clear Occupational Health, and completed forms must be submitted to the office, via email, by Friday, May 29 at 4 pm.

Orientation will be Saturday, June 20. *attendance required, teens only.

***The VolunTEEN Program is 6 weeks long, you must volunteer 5 weeks MINIMUM!

The program runs June 29 through August 7, 2026. You are required to attend a minimum of 5 weeks of the 6 week program. Teens must be between the ages of 14-17 and be a United States citizen (this is a DoD regulation).

Specify the days and shifts you are available to work. Select at least 2 shifts, you must have a minimum of 8 hours per week. It is only necessary to select a morning or afternoon shift per day. Location assignment is based on your availability. NOTE: Please LIST DEPARTMENTS AREAS OF THE HOSPITAL that interest you!
