• 2026 Measuring Love Cohort Application

    Hosted by Grantmakers for Effective Organizations
  • Calling on all Radical Lovers in philanthropy to join the 2026 Measuring Love Cohort hosted by Grantmakers for Effective Organizations and led by Shiree Teng, Audrey Jordan and the Measuring Love Team, based on core concepts presented in the self-published brown paper Burning Love: An Invitation to Transformative Action, the third of the Measuring Love series. Radical love is the force that transforms the world, starting with each of us. If we're not about love in philanthropy, then what are we about?

    We invite you to complete this application if you are a grantmaker or consultant in the field of philanthropy and are seeking:

    • practical, powerful ways to co-create a future that supports you, your organization and your community to thrive;
    • developing ways to heal, be resilient, and create a different set of processes and structures to love yourself and others;
    • a peer community space to learn and be held accountable;
    • ways to learn how to live into love practices.

    Please note that the Measuring Love Cohort is open to both GEO members and member-eligible non-members. If you have questions about GEO membership, please contact shepherd@geofunders.org.

    This cohort is designed for one participant from each organization or consultancy, but we are open to having up to three participants from one entity. Each person from a team must complete a separate application.

    Applicants must be able to commit to the following:

    Participation in five sessions:

    • A 90-minute virtual launch party on June 11 at 1pm ET to meet the facilitators and your fellow cohort members, and to support co-creation of the cohort experience.
    • The opening session will be held in person over two days from Monday, June 22 to Tuesday, June 23 in Washington, DC at GEO
    • The second and third sessions will be 3.5-hour virtual sessions from 12:30pm - 4pm ET on:
      • Thursday, July 16
      • Thursday, September 10
    • The closing closing session will be held in person over two days from Wednesday, October 7 to Thursday, October 8 (location TBD)

    Full participation in activities between sessions, including session readings from the Measuring Love publication series and guided reflection questions.

    Preparation of a final action plan that cohort participants will identify and refine the focus of throughout the cohort experience. All cohort members will leave with a clear plan to support their ongoing change work and love practice.
