2026 Thrive Multi-Year Scholarship - $5,500
Total amount over a period of up to four years
Scholarship Objective: to provide multi-year scholarships annually to see students through graduation beginning Fall 2026. Provide mentoring through either CNM or UNM and connect students to the business community through the Hispano Chamber membership for real world experience and opportunities. Eligibility: This scholarship is specifically for individuals for whom Fall 2026 will be their first semester ever to enroll in a two-year, four-year, or trade program. Completed high school diploma/equivalency OR currently a high school senior. Must enroll at UNM OR CNM. At UNM must enroll for a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester. At CNM for 12 credit hours for degree or certificate program for length of certificate or degree program (typically not longer than two years) and maintain a 2.5 gpa. One Recommendation Letters
The persons completing the recommendation letters should be a school official, employer or community member who is not related to you and they should sign the letter and print it on letterhead. Your recommenders should be someone who can talk about your academic accomplishments, your potential in completing a degree or certificate program, your passion for education beyond high school, and your overall character. Please give the person(s) plenty of time to complete the recommendation letter.

Create a 2–3-minute video explaining your education goals, career objective and plans for giving back to New Mexico. Creativity is encouraged but you must appear in the video and talk for at least half of the length of the video. Please keep to the time limit requirement and then copy and paste the video link to the text box below by the scholarship deadline. You are not required to publish the video, below are the directions to create an Unlisted YouTube video: Sign into your YouTube Account. Click on the Your Videos tab under the YouTube menu bar, directing you to your channel content through Studio YouTube. Select the video which you’d like to make an unlisted video. Click the Details icon to access the video’s settings. You will see the option to mark you video as “unlisted”, “public”, or “private” by selecting the visibility drop down menu, then selecting unlisted. Do not forget to click the Save button.
