• Bertha House Community Reserve

  • The Bertha House Community Reserve supports under-resourced activists and community groups to use the facilities at Bertha House. It is rooted in the knowledge that many people and groups doing impactful work know about and want to make use of our space, but lack the resources to bring events and programming to life.


    Requirements
    Successful applicants must:

    • Be not-for-profit activist or community groups
    • Have an annual budget of R1 million or less
    • Demonstrate that their event will advance social justice work for a specific project and aligns with the Bertha Spaces values and mission.

    Please note that applicants may only apply for one event at a time. Should your project require multiple events, please discuss this with the Bertha House programmes team.
