2026 SUMMERFEST ARTISAN POLICIES
1. Unless explicitly approved in advance, only original handmade products made by the artisan will be accepted for sale. We are specifically interested in products made by individuals representing their respective culture or country.
2. BDAC does not guarantee sales during the festival. Artisans are responsible to interact with patrons and encourage sales of their products.
3. Acceptable artwork includes: a) Fine art: oils, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, sculpture, photography, pottery, printmaking, etc., or b) Fine Crafts: international and/or traditional American crafts such as woodwork, weaving, leather work, hand-made jewelry, candles, soap, floral art, etc.
4. Each booth is required to be open during all festival hours on both Friday, August 7th, and Saturday, August 8th. Under no circumstances may an artisan disassemble or abandon a booth before the end of the festival.
5. In cooperation with the Utah State Tax Commission, BDAC will provide tax forms and charts to each artisan. Artisans must use the temporary special event form even if they have their own tax number.
6. Each artisan must be fully unloaded and set up 15 minutes prior to festival start time. Load and unload the booth from the west parking lot. Driving across park grass is strictly prohibited as this is grounds for the city to refuse park use to the festival in the future.
7. In accordance with Bountiful City ordinances, NO alcoholic beverages are permitted.
8. Sale of food items by artisans prohibited unless authorized in advance by the Summerfest artisan committee.
9. There will be security in the park and Bountiful Police will provide limited patrolling. However, BDAC is not liable for damage, theft or loss of artisan property.
10. Each artisan must provide their own booth/display equipment/tent. Booths must be aesthetically pleasing and enhance the clean festival atmosphere. Exhibitors are responsible for removing debris from their space.
11. No smoking is allowed in Bountiful City Park.
12. Displays and display fixtures must be disassembled and park grounds returned to their normal state by 10:00pm.
13. All participating artisans will be juried into Summerfest. Participation in a previous year does not automatically qualify an artisan as accepted in the current festival.
14. All artisans should be aware that journalists, staff, festival visitors, etc will be filming/photographing the event. Some footage may appear in press and/or promotional materials. Images will not be published by BDAC for sale but BDAC may not credit all works that happen to appear in this footage. By signing this form you acknowledge that BDAC is not liable for protecting your intellectual property as it appears in such press/promotional materials.
15. Artisan vendors are allotted a 10’ x 10’ space. Booth placement will be selected by Bountiful Davis Art Center staff.
16. Artisans will be offered an optional logo/photo space on the BDAC website as well as a 4 sentence description. This is offered at no additional cost, but does not guarantee that BDAC will use your logo and description in all marketing.
17. Summerfest 2026 requires an artisan fee of $60 total for both days. This fee is waived if artist provides a demonstration at their booth. Artisan fee is nonrefundable in the case of withdrawal within 45 days of the Festival.
18. Failure to adhere to any of the above mentioned regulations will result in forfeiture of your deposit and could jeopardize your participation in future BDAC organized events.
The Summerfest Committee reserves the right to remove any artisan from the grounds with all fees forfeited for any violation of festival regulations.
