Volunteer Expectations

Must be an active AECT student member (or a student between July 2025 and present.
Submit application by August 9
Accept your assigned volunteer schedule by October 2 in which you agree to these expectations:
- Arrive on time for volunteer shift
- Sign-in and sign-out for assigned shift
- Connect with Volunteer Coordinator or AECT staff at beginning of shift to receive assigned tasks and end of shift to let us know you are leaving
- Be helpful and friendly- take initiative to find tasks to support AECT staff
While we encourage to engage with your fellow volunteers this is not a social hour and we expect you to be working
Find a volunteer to switch shifts with you if you have an unexpected conflict; this is your responsibility

Full-time for 10 hours = $150 reimbursement refund

Part-time for 6 hours= $85 reimbursement refund

The reimbursement will be processed within 10 business days after the convention ends to the same payment method used when you registered.

Please list what role you did as an AECT volunteer (session facilitator, check-in, floater, ect)

Please list any non-AECT conferences where you have volunteered as a facilitator.

Because volunteer spots are limited, we want to make sure that everyone selected is qualified to meet the responsibilites of this role. If you have not previously volunteered wtih AECT, please list the name and contact email for your reference, then upload the referral letter.
