2026 Scholarship Application

On behalf of the Ivy Rose Community Foundation, Inc.® in conjunction with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Eta Rho Omega Chapter, we invite eligible students to apply for our scholarship. The application deadline is March 21, 2026. For more information, please visit: ivyrosecommunityfoundation.org/scholarship.
Application Requirements:
- Student must be of African descent.
- Student applicants must have a minimum 2.50 grade point average.
- Student must be on track to graduate from a Santa Clara County Comprehensive High School by June 2026.
Application must include the following:
1. Completed scholarship application.
2. Verification of a minimum of 20 hours of community service.
3. Original Essay: maximum of two typed pages on the following topic: "The arc of the moral universe is long, but bends toward justice." - Dr. King. Please explain what this quote means to you and how your community service activities and/or future plans support and display Dr. King's vision in this quote.
4. Two reference letters: One from an educator at your school, and one from your church or a community member (cannot be a relative).
5. Color Photo Headshot: picture may be wallet size.
6. Official Transcript including semester grades through the first semester of your senior year of high school. This transcript must be submitted in your school's official sealed envelope or electronically submitted by your school's Registrar.
Applications postmarked or submitted electronically after the deadline or incomplete will not be considered.

Applicants may be invited for an interview. Finalists will be publicly acknowledged during our 39th Annual African American Baccalaureate Program on Sunday, June 7, 2026. All finalists are required to participate in the Baccalaureate Program in order to receive the scholarship.
