Training
All players are expected to attend weekly training sessions. Sessions normally last between 1 and 2 hours, while some sessions may be longer (up to 4 hours). During Spring, Summer and Autumn, sessions will be at Giant Axe playing fields, our home ground.
If parents/guardians need assistance with transport to and from training sessions for their child, due to the rising cost of fuel we kindly ask for a contribution towards fuel to be given to the member of the club that is transporting your child.
Contact must be made no later than 9 p.m. on the day before the training session to confirm attendance with the team manager.
Winter training will take place on Astro pitch/3G or indoors; there will be no extra charge for registered players although the day of training may vary from normal training sessions.
A small charge of £4 per session will be charged to unregistered players who are training with the assumption of playing for the relevant team the following season.
Matches
Lancaster City Juniors F.C. will play in the Lancaster & Morecambe Service to Youth League. During the months following the end of the season, teams will have the chance to participate in tournaments and friendlies arranged by the team manager.
If parents/guardians need assistance with transport to and from matches for their child, due to the rising cost of fuel, we kindly ask for a contribution towards fuel to be given to the member of the club that is transporting your child.
Contact must be made no later than 9 p.m. On the day before the team's fixture to confirm attendance with the team manager.
We also provide a summer camp for those who want to keep training or just have fun. This normally takes place from June to August; details are available on request.
Football Kits
All players are required to wear the team football strip. The football kit will include a shirt, shorts and socks. All kits remain the property of Lancaster City Juniors F.C. and must be returned to the club if you leave.
Shin pads and football boots must be supplied by parents; it is not the responsibility of the club. Shin pads must be worn at training and especially matches. Micro shin pads have been banned by the league and Lancashire Football Authority (LFA) and are not permitted.
Annual General Meeting
Each year we hold an Annual General Meeting. This is usually held in May/June and is an opportunity for parents to learn more about the club.
Each year the Committee is elected. We are always looking for parents to be involved and join our Committee. All future events are discussed and new ideas for fundraising are always welcome.
Presentation Evening
Every year at the end of the football season we hold a presentation evening. This is a fantastic event that rewards all players for their efforts and dedication throughout the season.
There are individual trophies that are awarded to top goal scorer, most improved, etc. We do encourage as many players and parents to attend as it is a fun event for all.
Fundraising
To help purchase equipment, we as a club need the help of parents and players to participate in fundraising events. If you have any ideas, please contact a member of the Committee.
A prize will be awarded to the person who raises the most funds within the season and awarded at the presentation evening. Fundraising events help to keep fees low.
Use of Photos and Video.
Lancaster City Juniors F.C. has its own closed group Facebook page (Lancaster City Juniors F.C.) This site provides players, parents and families with information about the club, training nights and match information.
The site contains photographs of the children (match photographs/squad) which can be viewed by other people allowed to join, only authorised by the committee. The club requires permission from parents/carers that the club can display these photos.
On occasion, the club also appears in the local media, which may also include photographs of players. Full names will never be used next to pictures or on social media.
Players Code of Conduct
Lancaster City Juniors F.C. is committed to supporting the FA in ensuring high levels of behaviour by everyone involved in football. The club supports the FA Respect campaign and aims to ensure everyone involved in the club abides by the club's code of conduct.
Players We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
As a player, you have a big part to play. That’s why the club is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.
When playing football, you must:
Always play to the best of my ability and enjoy myself.
Play fairly – I won’t cheat, complain or waste time
Respect my team-mates, the other team, the referee and my coach/team manager.
Play by the rules as directed by the referee
Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game
Listen and respond to what my coach/team manager tells me
Talk to someone I trust or the club Welfare Officer if I am unhappy about anything at my club
If you do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by the Club, County FA or the FA:
Be required to apologise to my team-mates, the other team, the referee or team manager.
Receive a formal warning from the coach or club committee
Be dropped or substituted
Be suspended from training
Be required to leave the club
Parents/Carers/Spectators Code of Conduct
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.
This club is supporting The FA’s Respect programme to ensure football can be enjoyed in a safe, positive environment. Remember children’s football is a time for them to develop their technical, physical, tactical and social skills. Remember, winning isn’t everything.
Play your part and observe The FA’s Respect Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers at all times.
You must;
Remember that children play for FUN
Applaud effort and good play as well as success
Always respect the match official’s decisions
Remain outside the field of play and within the designated spectators' area (where provided)
Let the coach do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do
Encourage the players to respect the opposition, referee and match officials
Avoid criticising a player for making a mistake – mistakes are part of learning
Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
If you do not follow the Code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my club, County FA or The FA:
You may be;
Issued with a verbal warning from the club or league official
Required to meet with the Club, League or CFA Welfare Officer
Required to meet with the club committee
Obliged to undertake an FA education course
Obliged to leave the match venue by the club
Requested by the club not to attend future games
Suspended or have my club membership removed
Required to leave the club along with any dependants
In addition;
The FA/County FA/League May impose a fine and/or suspend our club
Refusal to engage with the above actions following breach of our conduct rules will result in you/your child being asked to leave the club.
Player Fees
The fees for the 2025/2026 season are £150.
The club reviews this amount each year, and we have decided to freeze the price.
This amount contributes towards - League registration, Public Liability Insurance, coaching courses, referee fees, pitch fees, equipment for our club and trophies for all players at the end of the season.
We will still offer a 10% discount if you have multiple children at our club.
If you have multiple children at our club this means you will only pay £135 per child (e.g. if you have 2 children, you will only pay £270, as opposed to £300).
Should you wish to pay monthly, we require an initial signing-on fee of £50 (£50 PAYMENT ON SIGNING ON, JULY OR AUGUST) Subsequent payments are at a rate of £25 per month for 4 months in September, October, November and December.
We require payments to be made via bank transfer to our account. When making payment, please ensure you add the reference as your child's name and the team they are signing to - e.g. "Joe Bloggs fees - U14s". This makes it easier for us to match the child with the payment you have made.
Failure to make payments as agreed may result in your child being suspended from play/training until arrears are brought up to date.
We do understand that times are difficult at the moment. Should you have any issues with payment, please discuss this further with your team manager who will refer to the club committee.
