Rate of Pay: $15/ hr. plus 10% store discount (discount can not be combined with our Super Soapers Rewards).
Hours per Market: 4-5 hours per market shift.
At some point, potentially learning our setup / teardown process, in the case you would run a Sunday market solo. This would require arriving an hour & 15mins before start time for setup, and 45mins later for teardown.
Sunday markets: 9a-1p (8a-1p during tourist seasons)
Saturday markets: 8a-1p
Summary: Our Refill Specialists are there to help us ensure a successful operation and offer excellent customer experiences at our farmers markets.
Job Description: Meet ELR staff on site by market start time. Keep supplies organized and clean, use POS, cash handling, ability to learn numerous product details and uses, communicate zero waste principles and product specifics to customers, and work as a team to help customers in a timely manner (especially when it gets busy). And have fun!
Work Environment: We have fun, chat with other vendors, eat snacks and we aren't judgey if you still use that Diva laundry soap everyones obsessed about. We do work fast when things get crazy busy & are looking for someone who can too. We also work outside where it can get very hot, cold, rainy &/or windy - however, we do cancel markets for weather that would put us/our inventory at risk.
Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs., long periods of standing, low-tox attitude, reliable, available weekends - and previous customer service experience is a plus!
Qualifications: We are looking for individuals who are into and/or curious about living a more sustainable lifestyle, can ensure great customer experiences and is a great addition to our chill & inviting space. Expectations include attention to detail, enjoys talking to & teaching customers about our products, strong work ethic, a basic understanding of zero waste and willingness to learn, resourcefulness, problem solving skills, must be self-motivated and able to play well with others.
Preferred Qualifications: previous retail experience; zero waste or sustainability knowledge and/or education.
