  • Walk for Weims Rescue Participation Agreement

  • This agreement outlines the expectations and responsibilities of participating rescues in the Walk for Weims fundraiser on April 12, 2026.
    By signing this agreement, ____________________________________, going forth known as "The Rescue" confirms participation and agrees to the following terms:

  • I. Eligibility

  • The Rescue must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing.
  • II. Promotion

  • The Rescued agrees to include the event on your website's event calendar.
    The Rescue agrees to post at least six (6) promotional posts about the event using either:
    • Pre-designed content provided by Walk for Weims organizers, OR
    • Custom content created by the rescue.
    Posts should be shared across social media, email, or any other outreach platform available to the rescue.
    The Rescue will provide a logo to be used on the charity partner section of the Walk for Weims site and in social media posts
  • III. Fund Distribution

  • Funds raised through event registration will be distributed as such to all participating rescues after expenses are deducted:

    • 50% to Top Fundraising Rescue!
    • 50% divided equally amongst the remaining participating rescues.

    The Rescue will set up its direct payment information to receive their portion of prize money no later than February 20, 2026.

  • IV. Optional Participation

  • The Rescue is welcome (but not required) to organize local meetups for their communities to walk together as part of the event.
  • V. Event Support

  • The Walk for Weims team will provide:
    • Pre-made promotional materials.
    • Regular communication to ensure rescues have the tools they need.
    • Prizes for designated categories during the event.
  • VI. Important Dates

    • This agreement and your organization's logo must be submitted by February 15, 2026.
    • Set up your direct payment information on RunSignUp before February 20, 2025.
