GEO Mountains Youth Ideathon 2026
GEO Mountains is a Work Programme Activity of the Group on Earth Observations, co-led by the Mountain Research Initiative (MRI) and the Research Council of Italy (CNR). GEO Mountains convenes research institutions, mountain observation networks, and individuals to enhance the discoverability, accessibility, and usability of a wide range of relevant data and information pertaining to environmental and socio-economic mountain systems, globally.
Through the support from the MRI and the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC)'s Adaptation at Altitude Programme, and in collaboration with GEO, we are launching a first Ideathon participation call for Early-Career Professionals, including Masters and PhD students and postgraduate professionals, working in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) in mountains environments.
Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria in full (see Annex in the call document) and have all the required information and documents ready for upload as part of this application process. PLease note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
