    May 18-19, 2026
  • Participation in NAPSEC Legislative Day enables you to do the incredibly important work of bringing the priorities of your program, and the students and families you serve, before legislators and senior staff on Capitol Hill.

    NAPSEC will set up to four meetings for you with your representatives in the House of Representatives and/or the Senate and will supply you with the supporting materials and preparation necessary to maximize your visit. 

    Registration Fees:
    NAPSEC Member: $350
    Non-Member: $500

    Registration fee includes conference materials, advocacy training, a welcome reception, and scheduled congressional meetings.

        Monday, May 18
        9:30AM-11:30AM     NAPSEC's Morning on the Mall
        Before we enter congressional offices, join us as we ground ourselves in purpose. Join fellow NAPSEC members for an optional morning walk along the Tidal Basin as we reflect on civil rights, federal responsibility, and the students and families we serve. We gather to remember that access to education is a civil right — and that federal policy shapes opportunity.

        Start: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial
        End: Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial
        Distance: Approximately 0.7–0.9 miles
        Terrain: Flat, paved, ADA accessible. Comfortable shoes recommended.

        Tuesday, May 19
        Congressional meetings – schedules are unique for each attendee and are almost always conducted between the hours of 9AM and 5PM. We will share your schedule the week prior to Legislative Day. Please note schedules may shift and we will have a final schedule available for you at registration on Monday afternoon.

        Wednesday, May 20
        10AM-12PM                    NCASES Commission Meeting (breakfast provided)

        **NAPSEC has reserved a block of rooms at The Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill at a discounted nightly rate of $379 (exclusive of taxes/fees) Please book your room here early, as availability is limited. 

      • Attendee registrations may be transferred or canceled by submitting written notification to NAPSEC. A full refund is available to those who cancel their registration by April 20, 2026. All cancellation requests received after April 20, 2026 will not be eligible for a refund. Substitutions (the transfer of a registration to a colleague) for registrations are accepted at any time.

         

        NAPSEC takes photographs and occasional video during its meetings and events for use in association advertising, newsletters, and other promotional materials, whether in print, electronic, or other media. By participating in this event attendees grant NAPSEC the right to use their name and image for such purposes.
