This petition is to stop animal lab testing. The cruel practice is not only archaic but also wastes billions of taxpayer dollars each year and produces a high failure rate. Thousands of animals are confined to small spaces and subjected to endless painful experimentation all while understanding and feeling the isolation and pain. Animals ultimately are euthanized after living in agonizing pain only to contribute nothing because their biology does not predict trial outcomes for humans. Government funded research needs to progress with science, software, and artificial intelligence widely available today. This petition is a rallying cry for support in ending animal lab testing that employs painful and cruel experiments with death being the outcome to examine organs post-mortem.
By ending the animal lab testing you will successfully shut down the myriad of sources that contribute to the needless suffering. Purpose bred commercial breeders, class b dealers, and even shelter transfers known as pound seizures will end. Universities and private contract organizations along with medical and veterinary schools must comply with implementation of utilizing non-animal testing methods that closer emulate human biology such as organs-on-chips and AI/computational models. Applying these New Appproach Methods are faster, more accurate, and cost effective. We are seeking nationwide mandates to include all remaining commercial breeding facilities to be immediately shut down and the remaining animals put up for adoption.
