Join us at the Akron Children's Museum for a summer full of S.T.E.A.M. exploration and fun! Attend one week or all four and let your creativity run wild as we discover the secrets of the cosmos, build and code robotic friends, design funky fits, and engineer polymer tools!
Polymer Playtime: June 22nd-26th
We'll explore polymers and how they integrate into our lives and leisure activities. Campers will make diy bouncy balls, bioplastic sun catchers, and model their own miniatures to 3D print and use for our tabletop roleplaying game! We will also be building polymer models of the museum and engaging in a daring escape room challenge!
Robotics & Coding: July 6th-10th
Come code with us as we learn the basics of computer science and robotics. Campers will play coding games and practice debugging skills in real life. We'll also take time to make friends with some robot creations and even try our hands at building our own!
Creative Cosmos: July 13th-17th
Step into your own Moon Base for a week of cosmic discovery! From launch to lunar orbit, campers will plan, build, and experiment in our mock-up moon base. Each day will include survival challenges as well as experiements and activities designed to broaden horizons and cultivate your campers curiosity.
Stitch 'N Style: August 3rd-7th
Fabulous fashion is the name of the game in this jam-packed week of design and fabrication! Campers will spend the week conceptualizing, patterning, and building their own custom shirt, on top of learning other fascinating fibre arts like crochet, felting, weaving, and more!
