The Detroit Parrot Head Club is a not for profit organization. We are proud to be the 5th official club of PHIP (Parrot Heads in Paradise). We are committed to supporting community outreach efforts and promoting social interaction among our members. The DPHC serves as a platform for individuals who share an appreciation for the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he inspired.

Memberships will be valid from January 1 to December 31. Membership must be renewed by January 31 to remain current. Membership dues will be $20 from January 1 to September 30. Membership dues will reduce to $10 from October 1 to December 31. Each individual in a household wishing to join the club must submit a membership application.

Obligatory fine print: Each member of the Detroit Parrot Head Club is responsible for his/her/their own actions and behavior, whether negative or positive. Membership in the club does not give a member permission to use Jimmy Buffett's name, song titles, lyrics, names of business or other trademarked, copyrighted or reserved material owned by Jimmy Buffett ("Margaritaville, Parrothead(s), Parrot Head Club, Parrothead Club and PHC are registered trademarks of Margaritaville Inc.). Since Parrotheads are known to enjoy a few, we support using a designated driver.

DETROIT PARROT HEAD CLUB MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

It is the intention of the Detroit Parrot Head Club to provide social and charitable activities for the enjoyment and benefit of all our members, guests, hosts and charities. All members of the organization shall be required to treat fellow members, guests and hosts and their personal property with respect. Members also agree to abide by all local, state and federal lays, including, but not limited to, governing misuse of personal privileges, personal property, and controlled substances.

Members of the Detroit Parrot Head Club, by virtue of their membership agreement, agree to demonstrate personal responsibility for their words, actions, deeds and not to exhibit behaviors that are harmful to themselves and other members, guests, and hosts or their personal property. We seek to provide a pleasant atmosphere in which to share our common love of the music and tales of Jimmy Buffett and to further the charitable ideals that we seek to uphold.

The Detroit Parrot Head Club will not condone behavior contrary to our objectives nor that which we feel is harmful or injurious to others. By virtue of your membership in the Detroit Parrot Head Club you have agreed to "Party with a Purpose" in a most responsible fashion! You further agree to hold the Club, it's officers, and all it's membership, harmless from any consequences, monetary or otherwise that may result due to violations of this Membership Agreement.

The Board of Directors may suspend either permanently or for a specified period of time from the Detroit Parrot Head Club and any of it's club sponsored events, any member whom majority of the Board of Directors determines no longer meets the requirements for membership as set forth in the section of the by-laws entitled "membership agreement". This must be done by a majority vote. The vote suspends such member's membership in the Detroit Parrot Head Club and all rights and privileges associtaed therewith.
