  • Operations Lead, UTrucking Leadership Program

Each year, UTrucking selects two exceptional WashU students to serve as Operations Leads at the center of our summer operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Operations Leads participate directly in moving work, warehouse operations, and day-to-day execution while also leading teams, managing logistics, and improving systems. This is not a desk role—you’ll be on-site, regularly rolling up your sleeves, and working alongside a team of movers. During peak season (May and August), many days start before sunrise and end after dark.

The role is designed for students who demonstrate integrity, leadership, sound judgment, and an interest in entrepreneurship.

Student-athletes are strongly encouraged to apply!

    Perks & Benefits

    • Direct mentorship and exposure to how a real business operates end to end.
    • Hands-on experience using tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, Canva, Connectteam, etc.
    • Work alongside a cross-functional team across operations, design, marketing, and administration.
    • Membership in a small, close-knit UTrucking alumni network of fewer than 100 alumni spanning WashU classes since 1977.

    Schedule

    • Dates: March 15, 2026 – August 23, 2026
    • Commitment: 10hrs/week during classes; full-time after finals.
    • Compensation: $12,500
