Halliday Wine Companion: This brings grapefruit and apple-skin flavours to the table, along with smoked bacon and almond paste. While it's still building in terms of flesh it shows all the signs that it will mature well, if not beautifully, over the next handful of years. Stuart Knox, The Real Review: 90/100. Full ruby red core with a bright purple rim. Crushed forest berries and a hint of vegetal notes on the nose. Medium to full weighted, dark fruits fill the central channel while vegetable stock and river stone notes add depth.
