Our program offers young men ages 16-19 the chance to live independently, build life skills, and gain meaningful work experience while earning an income. Over 10 weeks, you’ll work 30 hours a week at a local business, participate in engaging life skills workshops, and enjoy exciting activities like jet skiing and team-building events. This is more than just a summer job; it’s an opportunity to build your future, forge lasting friendships, and grow into the best version of yourself.

     To complete this application smoothly, make sure you have the following ready:

  • DevelopMore is a workforce development program that places participants with employers for summer jobs in Ocean City, MD. Employers are legally required to verify each employee's eligibility for employment via Form I-9.

    On the form, employees must attest to their employment authorization. Employees must also present their employer with acceptable documents as evidence of identity and employment authorization. The employer must examine these documents to determine whether they reasonably appear genuine and relate to the employee, then record the information on the employee’s Form I-9.

    Step 2 of Form I-9 addresses citizenship or immigration status. You must be either a US citizen, a noncitizen national of the US (e.g., American Samoa), a lawful permanent resident, or a noncitizen authorized to work.

  • 6. Letters of Recommendation

    Acceptable recommenders include:

    • Education Professionals (e.g., Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Advisor, Coach)

    • Community Leaders (e.g., Mentor, Business Owner)

    • Religious Leaders (e.g., Pastor, Bishop)

    This step is a test of your responsibility. You will need to provide the name of your recommender, their email address, and how long you’ve known them.
