  • Required Parent/Guardian Permission Form for Entrants under 18 years of age

  • Dear Parent or Guardian,

    Your child would like to participate in a juried online photography horse show! To
    participate, your child must provide his/her personal information (first and last name, email, age, city and state of residence, his/her photos, and a parent/guardian’s first and last name, electronic signature, and email. The information collected will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone else, except with parent/guardian consent- the child’s name, age, city, state, may be used to promote the art show. Equisarte Online Photography Horse Shows is the sole owner of all of the information that is collected. The personal information provided by the child is used to track program participation, accept junior submissions, notify program winners, and distribute awards. Only with parent/guardian consent, the child’s name, age, city, state, may be used to promote the art show. This includes, but is not limited to, outreach via social media and websites.

    As parent and/or legal guardian of the above named entrant I have reviewed the requirements for juniors (under 18) to enter Equisarte Online Photography Horse Show as stated above, certify that the photos my child is submitting are his/her original work and is not a duplication of any other published photograph or artwork, and have read the contest rules found at: https://equisarte.weebly.com/prize-list--rules.html

    Get outside with your pet and take some lovely scenes this Winter! Free up your imagination by photographing your animals in the snow. Think of red cardinals hiding in a snowy tree, a squirrel climbing a snow-covered tree, or a warm pet sitting by a fireplace. Combining your pets/animals with snow or other winter elements always makes for more creative photography. Open to any animal type.   • 3. Minimalist Photography

    Use mostly negative space to create a sophisticated image! With leaves gone, distractions are naturally reduced. A single tree in a snowy field becomes a powerful subject. Frost highlights textures you might otherwise miss. Low sun angles and soft overcast light flatten the landscape into gentle gradients. All of this helps you create images with clarity and calm. Try inside or outside minimalist photography focusing on one subject and negative space! Open to any animal type, no animal needed for this class.   • 6. Winter Landscape

    Get outside and take photos of the snow covered or frozen land. Consider using the Rule of Thirds and taking your photo in a landscape orientation instead of portrait orientation. No animals needed for this category.   • 8. Scavenger Hunt

    A FUN class to find images! Each participant will use the scavenger hunt list provided below and attached to the invoice. All entries will receive a ribbon for participating. You must register individually however you may wok asa a team to do the scavenger hunt and turn in 1 album per team. Please see Scavenger Hunt Rules on our website- you will need to upload your photos for Scavenger Hunt ONLY on our Photography Show Facebook page.

                      The focus of this class is objects related to all things equestrian. Set up a still life using items such as horseshoes, bridles, saddles, tall boots, spurs, etc. be creative! You can bring these items in your house to photograph or at your barn. When setting up your still life focus on lighting, depth of field, clarity, and the background. No animals needed for this category.
