A pre-employment training program leading to employment as a Room Attendant (housekeeper) in a union Hotel Property. Signing up on this interest form gives consent for email, text, and phone call communications regarding this and similar opportunities.
Program Details
March 16-20-8:30 am to 4:00 pm The training location is being finalized but will likely be either near SeaTac airport or in the SoDo district of Seattle. The address will be provided upon invitation to the Orientation.
I understand the training commitment and can attend all days and hours of the training. I will move doctor, dentist, and other appointments to be present for the training as I understand missing any part of the training will result in being asked to leave the program.

Job Club
The training includes four weeks of weekly one-hour Job Club meetings to be held on 3/25, 4/1, 4/8, and 4/15. Attendance at the Job Club meetings is a required program element to obtain the stipend.

If admitted to the program we will ask you to present your employment documents needed to complete the I9 form to ensure that you have the required items to move into employment. A record of these documents WILL NOT be kept-program staff will simply ensure you have what is needed for employment to ease the onboarding process once you are hired.

Physical Demands of the Room Attendant Job
Working as a Room Attendant is physically demanding. It requires standing for the entire shift. Lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling the cleaning cart is required. Bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and reaching frequently while prepping, cleaning, or retrieving items can be expected. You should plan on performing repetitive movements like vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, making beds, lifting mattresses, and similar. This role requires a sense of urgency and expediting cleaning rooms within a certain time period. It will require you to hands and fingers with for precision tasks. This role will require visual and physical ability to inspect rooms for cleanliness, detail, and maintenance issues.
