2026 - Sip of the Northern Mitt

We are excited to welcome you to kick off Summer 2026 on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula, surrounded by Lake Michigan, and located in the northwest corner of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. The Leelanau is home to over 30 wineries, breweries and distilleries. It is also home to Sleeping Bear National Seashore, a treasure of the Great Lakes, full of opportunities to hike and bike, and picturesque lakeside towns waiting to be explored.

The rally is based out of Holiday RV Park and Campground, located just outside of Traverse City, MI, at the base of the Leelanau. All sites are full hookup and the rally will have exclusive use of the campground pavilion for meals and social activities.

The rally fee is $390 per person and includes:

6 winery visits with tastings (food will be provided at one winery each day);
A welcome potluck (main dish provided) where we will hear about the history of the region’s wineries from the owners of one of the original vineyards on the peninsula;
Two catered dinners and rally campfires;
A "free day" to explore more of the region, or join in at a local brewery for a late lunch and local music (pizza provided)
Bus transportation for winery visits.

Special Directions:

Due to a software registration issue with the campground reservation system, please register for the rally and enter "TBD" in the Campsite Number Field and the campground will contact you within 1-2 weeks for campsite arrangements.

You may be gone from the campground a significant amount of time during the day. Your pet’s well-being is your responsibility during your stay. Neither Grapes & Grains nor your hosts are responsible for their care so please be prepared.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Members who cancel after being registered for any event will forfeit any third-party non-refundable fees incurred by Grapes & Grains (G&G) or the event sponsor including but not limited to reservation fees, processing fees, site cancellation fees, prepaid excursion, tour, entertainment, and event fees. Any member/registrant who cancels within 30 days of the Rally start date will forfeit any prepaid rally fees and depending on the venue, potential RV site fees. Regardless of the reason or cause, if the timeliness of cancellation of your attendance does not allow G&G or it’s Host(s) to find replacement attendees or obtain refunds from any of the vendors or providers, a refund will not be made, and forfeiture of those costs will be incurred by the cancelling member.

If Grapes & Grains should cancel a rally or event, all fees paid by any member/registrant will be refunded.

This Grapes & Grains refund policy is premised on the concept that the Intra-Club should neither profit from nor subsidize the cost of any member or registrant who cancels after registering for a G&G sponsored or hosted rally or event. We understand that circumstances arise where a cancellation may be necessary, and every effort will be made to minimize the financial impact on both the Intra-Club and the member/registrant.

Any member/registrant who does not agree with a refund decision made by the organizers of a G&G sponsored event may appeal that decision to the G&G Executive Board by filing a written appeal request, including the reasons for a reversal of the refund decision, within 30 days of the original refund decision.
